Why are people automatically assuming that this trailer (let alone the game) has (or will have) anything to do with Flemeth/Morrigan? Unless there's proof to the contrary, there's little to believe that all Bioware will do for DA:O players is give us minor "Hooray, you beat DA:O! Here's a cookie...." then move off with the rest of the DA2, wherein if you'd never played DA:O, you'd simply be missing the cookie part and never have known anything different.

It's already confirmed that Flemeth is in the game, that would be my guess why. Just a guess though

I'm pretty sure at the end of GoA you see even more harvesters, correct? I'm guessing they will end up as mini-boss fights in DA2 or there will be another who is a **** to kill.

Yes

He was hard to kill in GoA because of endless respawn. Including endlessly respawning boss level sidekick. Endless respawn is always **** design and always hard and cheap.

Also about the crown, I dont think thats a full blown proper crown that Kings would have. It looks more like a diadem. That may or may not be significant, maybe its just a diadem that rulers of a single city-state wear? IE A Free Marches' city-state?



Oh, and does anyone else find the Qunari using what looks like mind blast weird? Because arent the mages supposed to be outlawed/forbidden/detested by the Qunari?

They are using the same kind of "staffs", isn't it...

I was thinking that maybe that's just how mage staves looks in DA2, Maybe they can me used as melee weapons and maybe the Hawke in the trailer is just a mage and his "Glavie" is just a mage staff.

Something I just noticed. Look at our qunari bloke's axe; there's a symbol in the middle. An eclipse? A take on the ouroboros?

 That's possible. Although it strikes me that a ruler would not wear his bigly huge crown all the time. It'd make sense that there would be one for him to wear for more casual dealings that's easier on the neck.

Sadly, dealing with a qunari is not a casual dealing.

And another thing that I don't think has been touched on.

Flemeth and Hawke's armors appear to be very similar in design. I'd guess that Female Hawke's armor --if Hawke has this armor available to them in the game-- will look even more alike.

For example;













They share the same geometrical style, with the plates of flate planes giving way to angular protrusions. And also the red under-fabric, they share this as well.

Well that was pretty sweet. What do you guys think of the trailer's music? I'm kind of hoping the in-game soundtrack is like that. Don't get me wrong, DA:O's ST wasn't bad, but it was a little generic. I especially like the music that starts when Hawke makes his entrance.

Hmmm... just tossing out a thought here. The meeting with pirate lady seem to be in reverse, what says the entire flashback isn't? So he's seeing it from most recent to least recent.

Yeah. That's why I think Flemeth saw her "daughters" in danger and transforms into a dragon to go help, while Hawke is trying to reach them by foot but he encounter some obstacles (monsters) and he arrives too late. D:

I wonder if we could talk something about the art-style of what we see... I really, really like this new ultrastylized look. I think that it fits perfectly to tell a story of a kind of super-man who in time gets to do incredible things, or get  superhuman abilities (I think that was they were referring when they talked about Westerns and Sergio Leone).

Also, Im just crazy going overboard here, or this has some very disctintive Franzetta influences? The Qunari, Hawke and his-over-the top jump, all the different steps of the duel... I personally love to watch this, over and over again...
