Never warden beated a friken archdemon.. thats like 10 qunaries or more and he had trouble with one

That's a bit of an abstraction resulting from the gameplay mechanics though, don't you think? Just because he beat the archdemon doesn't mean he will also automatically defeat every skilled warrior he comes across thereafter because they're less powerful than the archdemon.

I made a thread last week to see if ppl thought Hawke could kick the Warden's ass, but after today's trailer I think it's obvious Hawke is waaaaay more powerful.  That finishing move he did would probably 1 shot the Warden.  Also he has glowing eyes and he's not even a warden!  How did he get so powerful?

Anyone still think the Warden could take him?

Depends what level they are at those points in their games.
I highly doubt a lvl 1 Hawke could beat a lvl 20 Warden solo and vice-versa for an example.

I normally don't get into these, but honestly after watching the trailer today, I gotta say that Hawke would probably destroy the warden, and DA:2 is going to be a hell of a game

C'mon Hawke looks 10x more badass than the Warden, I hope they have the default Hawke for use in-game.

People are still sore about why they can't play as their Warden and how nothing can ever replace him/her.

I bet Hawke will be a ten times better protagonist than the mute Gay Warden.

Urm, after that trailer I think my Warden would just pounce on Hawke and do naughty things to him. Rawr.

I think a more interesting question is which would be the aggressor in this inevitable Heroes’ Miscommunication battle, which would be the first to realize that they had been manipulated the whole time and allow himself to be briefly incapacitated to reveal the true threat, who are the second stringer villains who teamed up for this cockamamie plan to pit them against each other, what is the uncontrollable weapon that is then lost control of, and which first suggests the other one’s finishing move in order to stop it, before they then trade off defeating the other's foe, nod respectfully that in another time they would be enemies but today they have found a friend, and depart for their home territories, their horizons broadened and their wills steeled for the trials to come? -snipaboutgorillas-

Yeah, Hawke looked like he was peeing in his cherios during part of that fight ... and we *all* know that fear is the mind killer.

But no one ever answered my question about Hawke and the Warden against Vader riding King Kong ... come on people - these are important questions here!

I don't know Vader is pretty awesome......it would depend if Vader could still use Force Powers in Thedas..........

Hmmm, well if Hawke and Warden are both mages and put up a shield than I think they could win.....they could put use shield to block Force Choke.......and freeze KK with Cone of Cold....however,,,,if they don't have any magic ability and try to get up close to fight I forsee Vader forcechoking them while KK crushes them like squishy bugs......now if companions are with them it could get interesting.......now what if Revan was with Vader as well and companions were with the Warden and Hawke? then it becomes more tricky as to who will win....

Either you are sarcastic or haven´t read a comic book crossover in your life.

About Warden vs Hawke, no idea. Teasers are Cutscene Power to the Max, so not valid. Remember how deadly Morrigan´s Shapeshifting was in the Urn of Sacred Ashes, Leliana´s chraged arrows and so on. I doubt he could take the Warden after Awakening though. Overpowered is quite an understatement.

And what the hell would Gorilla Grodd think of this mess, I mean, he’s a super intelligent ape, he’d have seen that this matchup was pointless and long since retreated to Borneo or something.

I think a lot of things.

Don't forget gameplay and story aren't really related. You can't really say Revan was stronger than Vader just because he/she had more powers due to gameplay. It's like saying ME1 Tali is stronger than ME2 Tali because ME1 Tali had more powers

He will probably seduce the harvester with his mighty Beard and avoid fighting entirely. This won't work with the warden though.

Unless Warden died in GoA when 100+ harvesters attacked her/him from behind and was made a harvester.

The Batman vs Cap. America from Avengers vs JLA would be great. Characters were written being both skilled and intelligent in about a page. Was a nice subversion of the Trope.

ME story-gameplay gap is big in both games. It´s clear Shepard is a lot stronger at the beginning of both games than you play. In fact, in ME2 Jacob says it directly.
There aren´t many places where Vader is actually shown as really powerful sadly. For a guy who is 80% power of the most powerful Sith ever, every other author has some pet character own him. So if you ask Kotor writers they might think Revan was.
