Yeah all you have now is that crappy third party crap that costs an arm and a leg just for quality.  And no real games that would support it..

This is a surprise. (I'm sure this thread will get locked but I'll give my 2 cents anywho.)

Why are you guys mad though? It's not like anybody is taking ME2 away from you. If anything a lot more people will get to play a great game. Why is that bad? The only possible bad side to this is that this may have slowed development for ME3 or more likely most of ME2's DLC. But even I doubt that since making a port usually requires some time so they were probably doing this back in January.

I could see how this could be "lame" news for some, but it is certainly not "bad". Exclusives are great for the console companies, but really for developers and everyone else it sucks. Pretty much every game is coming out on both the PS3 and 360. Just look at the new Ace Combat game. Heck even the new Metal Gear game is coming to the 360, and MGS has for a long time been Sony exclusive. Now yes I do own PS3 myself, but you don't see me raging that 360 owners are going to be able to play Metal Gear now. Think about it guys Dragon Age came out for both the 360 and PS3, doesn't it seem strange that they didn't do the same for ME2. If you really want to blame someone blame EA. Because I'm quite certain EA decided to ASSUME DIRECT CONTROL. This does worry me a bit since EA has a tendency to run good game developers into the ground. Hopefully Bioware will remain steadfast to their influences and continue to make quality games.

Now as a PS3 owner this is kind of a cool, but all of you are forgetting something. We still probably won't and aren't going to get ME1. Which IMO just sucks, since half the appeal of playing ME2 comes from having played ME1 before. Honestly unless ME1 comes to the PS3 I'm not getting ME2 for it, just be a waste even if I could enjoy it now on my HDTV. ME2 is a great game, but really without ME1 this is just kind of  "meh okay". (At least now though I might actually be able to convince a few friends of mine just how good the MassEffect series is.) So if it makes you guys feel better it'll still only be 360 and PC owners who get to truly enjoy the Mass Effect series anyways.

That said why all this rage about exclusives? I wouldn't get angry if Heavy Rain came to the 360. I think it should honestly considering Indigo Prophecy.  Don't tell me some of you bought an Xbox 360 just to play Mass Effect. I mean I understand I've been tempted myself to get a 360 for some of the exclusives but I have some issues with the 360 I just don't like:

1) Everyone I know who's owned one has gotten RROD. No way in hell am I buying a console that's pretty much guranteed to overheat one day. (I realize the newer ones are better, but still...)
2) Xbox Live costs quite a bit of money. Playing online is fun, but I already pay for my internet service. These aren't MMOs so why should I pay? PSN isn't super great, but at least it's free. Seriously having Xbox Live for this entire generation will make the 360 ultimately more expensive then the PS3 even when it was $600. Why the heck would you play online games on your 360?! Party Chat is nice, but come on...
3) Xbox 360 can't play BluRay. Yea I'm sorry, but that's just another downet now. The PS3 is a pretty good BluRay player and I have to say it's well worth its extra cost. Also saves me space and in general makes my life simpler.
4) Also the 360's generally have had smaller hard-drives then the PS3s and in the past you also had to buy a wireless adapter. Love how Microsoft rips off their customers to no end. I'll admit the new Xbox 360 ain't half bad now that is up to par spec wise with PS3s and it's $100 cheaper.

I'm just telling it like it is. We all know Microsoft has a tendency to screw people over and this is just them doing it again. Don't get me wrong though there are still good reasons to have a 360 like...

-You want to play Halo
-You want to play Gears of War
-Most of your friends play on Xbox Live
-Other unique exclusives

And if it's any consulation to 360 owners the PS3 controllers suck big time. I'd much rather have an Xbox 360 controller rather then Sony's aging controller format. Feel better yet? No?




(Oh I'm going to enjoy the console flame wars now. It'll be real fun round these parts come 2011. But honestly who gives a rat's arse about consoles. I mean what's with all the console fanboy loyatly? Get the console you want the most and just have fun geez!)

Problem is exclusive content we don't get. I feel that is a betrayal of the rest of the community. Plus there is the possibility that Bioware will lessen the impact of ME1 choices on ME3.



Plus PS3 users are terrible, terrible people.

I am sorry but I think me2 going to ps3 is horrible. If I cannot play mgs4 or heavy rain on my 360 then why should they get to play the best game on the 360? Plus if the ps3 people get content that we do not get or have to pay for I will be completly upset. Take our money to port the game to the ps3 so you can make more money and give them content that we had to pay for or will not get. But if we want a ps3 exclusive they tell us to buy a ps3. If they want me2 thaey should get a pc or 360. Thats just how I feel, please discuss.

Take your elitism elsewhere, ME deserves to be enjoyed by everyone.

The only thing that bothers me about it is that they're getting bonus content. They're getting the game with the money we paid and aside from that they get bonus content. I hate exclusive content, I don't care if it goes to PS3 I just don't like that they have to give them things that we don't get. EA sucks, they've been giving Sony a lot of exclusivity lately. I think ME would have been better off if EA had never bought anything and Microsoft had kept publishing ME games. It's too bad Microsoft didn't do a thing to keep BioWare away from EA.

Nah, the duke sucked but getting used to the Gamecube controller and never really liking the angle of the Dualshock placement of the analogue sticks I would have to go with the Xbox controller



Plus the Sixxaxis feels like its gonna break in your hands (and the crappy back triggers) don't know if they ever fixed it for the dualshock release as I do not feel like purchasing one

They determined that since the first game can't be sold as well on the PS3 why sell it at all. I'm disgusted by their ways of making money without giving a sh*t about the games or developers. And the hours of extra content is most likely just dlc (it goddam better not be exclusive). Btw, this is a coming from a PS3 owner (I have ME on PC)

No Microsoft still holds the rights to ME 1 adn they are not giving them up

LOL the old Xbox controller sucks. I don't understand how people were able to play with that thing. It's right up there with the old N64 controller. I'm so glad those days are gone. Kudos to Microsoft from going to the worst controller to the best though with the 360.

I hate the back triggers for the PS3 controller and the six-axis usually just pisses me off more often then not.
