I was under the impression that the "hours of bonus content" is just the current DLC

I would like the ps3 version to have some type of story editor (for events from ME1) as a new game plus option.

Anyway im still happy with my PC version and i'm somewhat confused at all the rage this is causing, if anything this would give bioware more money for future projects and thats a good thing right?.

Yeah, I play 360, but I could give two ****s less about the console wars. Exclusive titles is whyi got 360, and if one less is exclusive, well its still available for the console ain't it? The problem I have with it is that they're not porting ME1, and I doubt they'll try to bridge the plot gap. So I'm guessing that this will make everything you did in ME1 even less significant in ME3 than it would be before the port. I'm expecting an email from the ME1 LI saying "Go fight the reapers, the race of super-machines that come around every 50,000 years to kill everybody in your spaceship with a super-powered cripple. Love ya, bye"

ME1 can only be ported with the permission of Microsoft, and we all know how estatic Microsoft is about giving their second-biggest gaming competition one of their best exclusives

ME2 going to PS3 is a good thing, ONLY IF ME1 goes to PS3 as well.



Initially, only negative things entered my mind when I heard of this:

1) ME3 will be set back a few months

2) ME3 will not live up to expectations because the continuity of ME3 will have to cater to PS3 players who never get to play ME1; i.e., important decisions and even minor ones made in ME1 will have to be watered down in ME3, such as council death, rachni queen, Wrex death, LI.



The only way this could be resolved, which I was initially against but am now all for, is that PS3 ME2 include an introductory mini-game where you can alter your choices from the first game, so the decisions are still very much crucial in ME3.



BioWare have already stated that decisions will carry over from ME1 to ME2 to ME3, so I have faith in them. However, that faith has been shaken a bit because they also at one point said ME2 would not be on PS3... but now it is....

Go to Ign.com read the article and when you get to the part where they say "will come with bonus content" then tell me what you think that means. I will help you, 1. they will ship the game with all or 75 percent of dlc included for free, 2. New content that A. 360 owners will have to pay for, or B. content that 360 users will not get. None of those conclusions makes me feel happy. I am not going to boycott bioware or ea(I happen to think bioware is extremely gifted and have enjoyed all of their games) I also enjoy my share of Ea sports titles and other ea games, I am simply saying at least do something for those who have supported bioware for the long haul. This is a forum meant for discussion of topics and I am sorry you do not agree with how I feel but we can debate the topic in a more respectable manner. We all do not agree, but because we share different opinions does not mean either option is right or wrong.

That could just mean cerberus network and some the other free dlc items people got from various suppliers. Then again if you're going to sell a game that's been out already for over 6 months, which retails for 20 dollars cheaper at gamestop now than it did back then, you might want to add some paid dlc to justify a PS3 user paying full price.

I don't care what you guys are whining. it's all good for their business to make more profit. that's your situation that I never play console at all. if I would be game maker like Bioware, I would be glad to expand to another console for market share. good for bioware.

What they said, back before it had even released on anything, was that it wasn't also hitting the PS3 at that time.  Which was true, and had to be said because a bunch of rumors were going around that it was going to be on all three platforms on Jan. 26, 2010.  Then about a month after release, people started up again because they found PS3 references in game files.  The response, again at that time, was "Mass Effect is for the PC and Xbox 360."   Which, at that time, it was. No one from Bioware ever said anything remotely close to "This will never, ever appear on the PS3. Ever.  Seriously.  We really, really mean it guys." so I don't see why you'd be upset over a promise never made.

I'll never understand fanboys, why they think the dersever special treatment is beyond me. Seroulsy so what if it is going to be on ps3, it not a big deal, hell it not something to get upset about at all.

I will say this its ashame Bioware gave the publishing rights to the cry babies over at Microsoft for ME 1 since Microsoft is waving that stupid publishing rights thing in everyone's face with their response to this news. I am glad EA brought it ME 2 now I hope they find a way to bring ME 1 over as well.
