Not much of a war, really, more like a dumb mass argument on a forum. No change from the usual there...

I don't have a Ps3 and never will, nor do I have an xbox, to me games should be on all platforms where ever possible then the most people get to play them.
The 2 things that DO annoy me are when makers release a game excusivley on this platform or that, thus trying to force me to buy the bloody console just to play the game, because lets face it Sony and MS are only interested in selling consoles NOT games. And my final annoyance is with these people who think a game should only be released on their console type and no other.
Jesus get a life!!!
There you go rant over time for some herbal tea...

Everyone who was worried about ME3 being downplayed, no more worries.
Everyone who is bothered by the simple fact it's going to PS3 and not remaining 360 exclusive, bicker away!

That's something I don't get.... Most of the forum posters here love or at least like the game (both 1st and second). Why be so mad that others will also get to enjoy it?
I'm a PC gamer, I only bought a 360 because Fable 2 was exclusive to it... so maybe I cannot have the "console gamer" perspective that when your "rival" gets something it means your e-peen is reduced x %... but seriously; care to explain why people are so mad that MORE people will play the game and that MORE sales will hence render ME3 with a HIGHER budget? (Randomly capitalizing words kinda pointless; I know)
Its like if one of my co-workers told me "Omg that movie is amazing, I'd tell you to see it but I won't let you cuz it would mean I'd be less cool." (wow... stupid analogy....)

Yea I'm not sure how fanboy wars really get started. I guess it's a way to justify getting one console over another. Another reason would be that you like something (Item A), but not so much this other thing (Item
I really don't care. I have a 360 and love it for more than the ME, but that doesn't mean I hate the PS3 (I'll probably get one soon anyways).

I take it you meant "appeal" to more audiences? Either way your point is understandable... indeed the EA taste makes it strive for higher numbers than ever before... but heh, put yourself in the "Corporate" mindset and you'll fully support this... as a gamer - however - you can dislike it and I kinda want to see what that special backstory is despite having finished both games more times than I could even fathom.
I do agree , however, that I would rather hours of programming went into PC/Xbox DLC and/or hasting ME3 dev.
I've bought all DLC out so far and I never felt robbed. Bioware remains one of my 3 favorite Developper companies (being at #1 nonetheless) but heh... unless either of you guys here forgot you held controlling interest over the company... not sure any whining/argumenting will turn this table around.

ehehe sry, multitasking gets my grammar most of the time
Well many other coorporation cross platform but they dont go around potty training the other platform, they spen time changing the code, and then hands on for story.... if youw ant to know what happended before, read a magazine or buy the console and the previous game.
It still appeals to another audience and they get money either way.
But is EA .....why again did Bioware got itself bought? they weren't doing so good with Micrsofot studios or wa? never found that out lol

Mergers/Agressive Take-overs/Purchases/etc... are not always in the best interest of the Customer and employees... the unfortunate part of the stock market is often what stockholders do... for themselves ; often to the complete disregard for the ramifications of the transaction.
EA is at least not the "evil" company it used to be.
I'm happy for PS3 owners actually. IMO ME1-2 are 2 of the best games ever made and they finally get to see it. I also find this fanboysm childish banter akin to a pissing contest.

So it was a aggressive take over? nobody is sure exactly? I mean.... Microsoft studios.... let go of it, and now they wish they had not?, bosses had argument... bosses were married and got divorced... microsoft studios did the Treyarch card and not pay their guys... or tried to steal the idea.... or we just dont know for sure?.
PS: I think all games should be across all platforms, makes platforms compete for better quality , better console, gets better graphics etc etc. Being exclusive is a monopoly...and they work so well most of the time.. right?

I'm not sure; I highly doubt EA did an agressive on Bioware though. Let me look it up.

crap.... so it was just a money thing. Bioware didn't needed tog et bought.... sigh.
SO Ig uess, my assumptions were wrong, and I apologize EA... your not the only culprits... Bioware is also to blame..... to blame for putting stockholders above product buyers.... but I guess that is the nature of a true CEO right?.
Hopefully we dont see "Mass effect, 2011, Winter edition" or "mass effect 2012, Kowla olympics"
m3h... still fingers crossed for ME3..... although the EA imprint on ME2 is clearly seen.... we'll see.

Honestly, though... if I was going to die... if I can proove myself useful TIM will take me in... EA/Bioware will prolly sell me to the first Sand dealer they can find to make a quick buck....
Out of the two VERY big evils, I rather go with the former... at least performance, and personal feedback matter...in some weird dark way lol

I think more people feel unsure rather than angry. If a company says they won't do X and then do it anyway , it makes it difficult take anything they say seriously in future.
thank you you decribed my feelings. ALthough not regarding cross platform... just the waste of effort into the backstory for PS3 gamers.
