Has anyone managed to do this? If so, can you please explain how to? They are too strong for me, even tho i managed to finish one play through with a noble rogue.
I want the helm of the deep! haha

I played with 2 mages, myelf and the spirit healer guy, and the white haired lady warrior.
Both mages with Mind blast keep the ogre constantly paralyzed and heal miss warrior while she takes care of the ogres companions first. Then just make sure you're all healed up when you go for the killing blow. Make sure you bring some mana potions though, you'll need 'em.

the spirit healers group heal comes in handy, just get the ogre to low health get some distance heal group and finish him off... thats how i did it while playing a warrior.

Did it on all 3, yes I'm a proud nerd. Did have 2 magi though, so had two that could heal my warrior. One uses force field/mind blast, the other heals and arcane bolts. Kill the annoying guys first.

And here I thought I was special for coming up with that strategy. Yeah- You don't necissarily need two mages to do it, but it damn well helps. You do need forcefield/mindblast. Forcefield is nice because it costs less, and if you get lucky with the turns it works flawlessly.
I had this turn set up:
Aleem (Forcefield Mage)
Ogre
Martine (Greywarden Heavy hitter)
So I would Forcefield- the protection element would disapeer immediately and then I would hit him for 50-70 damage.
The only one that was hard was the one with the two Genlock Elites. Those ones ****** me the hell off. With their 60dmg rock throws...

I got the achievement, however... when I killed the ogre my characters were not at full hp! But I killed the ogre first and healed my chars to full hp while dealing with the other darkspawn. Maybe the game checks the hp status *at the end* of the battle, now when you kill the ogre??

Heh, I did it on my first try, completely by accident.

2 mages is the easier way... chain heal ftw
if you have just 1 mage kill a mob (melee better) then the ogre then heal all the chars and kill the last mob. the check is made on the encounter not when you kill the ogre himself so you can keep a grunt as the last
a tank with the taunt stance and some potions can come handly too

I did it easily enough with only one mage, and yes, it checks at the END of the fight, not when you kill the ogre. So I killed the ogre, healed everyone up to full, then killed off the Hurlock Archers and voila.

I just left the ogre last got him low on health and healed my group before i killed it. Was easier than i thought it would be. Killing 2 enemies was harder than this one.

Basically just keep healing until he misses an attack and finish him off. Did it without any stuns or anything special at all.

Trying to figure that out myself by rummaging through people's Achievement lists on their profiles

Come one, this thread is over a month old! Can we stop with the thread necro nonsense?
Anyway, all you have to do is heal yourself before getting the last hit. It's pretty damn easy to do, especially if you're playing on easy (and you should be since the game is pointlessly long and incredibly boring).

I did it on my first try as well, and then I got all buggy and lost that and a different achievement.
Sadface.
Anyway, my strategy was basically using the bard as an archer and continuously keeping them pinned while my mage and Martine hit them. I also had them use potions regularly enough that they were full health when they struck the last blow.

People complain when someone creates a new thread on a topic that gets addressed a lot, and then people complain when someone uses the forum search feature, necros a related thread and asks a question about it.
And the wheels on the forum go round and round.

Get a mage with mind blast. You can keep the ogre perma-stunned. Have your members use healing pots in the meantime. As long as your party is at full health at the end it does not matter if you took damage during the fight.
