I played as an amazon fighter myself.

SPOILERS!

I upgraded only in strenght = 8, combat skill (sword) = 8 to get the x2 attack bonus, just enough in lore (+3?) to be able to identify eveything, and 1 in agility (or was it 1 in athletics?) anyway enough to access that Fleet on Floot... which ended up being a total waste as I fought the whole final battle on a horse.
In general I found the combats a bit easy as soon as you get your hands on the finest equipment, but the crab, the hydra and the beholder are a bit out of range... that is if you don't use shameful tactics to finish them off as I'm afraid I did.
I think I know better now why I enjoyed that "Amazon warrior" module so much. Because an amazon has always been a fantasy of mine, but also the way it's written, strong but simple. You don't get carried away through 1547,21 quests around 54,7 towns. You simply fight for your life. Not only with your sword. And it's beautiful. Not to mention it's been written by one of these... women, those ones who maybe have finer fingers but sharper nails when it comes to writing.
And not only.

I like the non-standard combat animation. Which one did you use?

@jmlzemaggo

Thanks for the kind words. ^^

The Swift Blows Technique also grants an extra attack, and doesn't cost as much as upgrading Agility or a Combat Skill. With a Strength of 8 and that much attacks, you certainly could defeat Azgorak with a heavy weapon in your hand. :P

It is easier to do the mod with the Warrior Archetype. The character already meets all the requirements for most of the artifacts.

Playing the Archer or the Rogue is a bit more tactical. :)

I had to balance the combat difficulty between the three Archetypes, and also taking into consideration the players who don't find/seek the artifacts.

@Bubba McThudd

It is the Warrior animation from the ACP.

Funny. I didn't realise about that animation since that the one I'm using most of the time. I uploaded on the vault, with the great help of Shia, an easy universal override installation of that ACP, by Ragnarok_mr4:
Check my Tip N°2 in my "Add-ons & Tips from the NWN Community" list.
which from what I heard works better than the official one, and easier as the player can switch between the different fighting styles in  game.
(I'm talking about the for Mac one here, which should do fine for a PC as well.)

Thank you that is exactly the information I was wanting. I'll pick up acting as well to go with my deceit then. Playing a shield and spear warrior and it doesn't look like my spending so far has been nonsensical.

Polearms have their damage increased when fighting on horseback. If you go spear/shield, it might be a good idea to spend some points in the Riding Skill for Chapter 15.
