On a serious note, a Rachni party member could be fun.



Unfortunately, it would only really work if you went the Paragon route in ME1. You'd also have to overlook how prone to indoctrination they probably are.

A swarm could provide you with support on an ME3 mission or two, true.

... but I'd rather have a paragon Shepard running around with a geth and a rachni in tow, ranting about justice and scaring the hell out of everyone.

Personally in ME3 all I want is Legion, Garrus, Tali, Miranda, Thane and Mordin. Then to have the end showing the System Alliance, Citadel Fleet, Rachni Fleet, Geth Fleet, Quarian Fleet and Terminus System Ships firing everything they have at the Reapers. Of course certain condition will need to be met and all the story stuff etc. lol

Ha, even with all that fire power they'd need to figure out a way to block the effects of the reapers themselves and board them in order ot have a fighting chance.  S'only way!

e: well actually just send all the Krogan (yeah I kept the data damnit!) onto them.  they're crazy as it is!

Given the fact that EVERY SINGLE PERSON OF YOUR TEAM can die (except joker), I doubt we'll see any teammates from this game.  Unless, of course, ME3 begins right where ME2 (plus DLC) left off.....Then you could have everyone.
Don't know about you guys, but I want to see how they tie it all together.

BTW  Who says you can't have a rachni queen for a squadmate?????AWESOME!!!!

Having rescued the Queen, smoothed things over between Legion and Tali, and learned about the Geth's current situation, I think it may very well be possible to have both.  Imagine the awesomeness, having two powerful races that everyone thought were enemies come to aid in the defense of the galaxy

And I'd like to think decisions like rewriting the geth and saving the rachni queen had real significance. Probably the best you could do is a cut scene. Would effect the storyline not gameplay.

On my canon playthrough I'm getting the rachni, geth, quarians and possibly the krogan fleet with me.



Odd that I'm more afraid of a krogan fleet stabbing you in the back then rachni or geth.

It'll be a *good* version of a Reaper that's the last remaining Caretaker that wasn't trapped in another area of Dark Space. The Reapers are perversions of the original Caretakers. This Dark Matter buildup is what the Caretakers would fix periodically. The galactic races were supposed to maintain them during the times when they were active. They would hibernate in Dark Space while they were not needed. As time passed without them, the galactic races forgot what they were and were afraid when they returned. The Caretakers felt they should let the galactic races do as they will and just continue to maintain the Dark Matter. A schism faction (now called Reapers) decided to enslave the galactic races to service them. In the war the ensued, the Reapers managed to trap all of the Caretakers in Dark Space, save one. That one hid and put up tasks and trials in order for anyone to find it. Once a race is able to find it (like Shepard will), it'll assume the Galaxy is ready to oppose the Reapers.

Seriously, how about Shepard acquiring the Collector General's ability to "assume control" and pretty much being able to spank the bad guys with their own peeps.



On a more modest note, I'd like my own weapons locker and wet bar in my cabin.



And I want to bring Urz home with me; Kelly will just have to deal when I'm off ship.
