I found a premade area layout in the toolset (brc201d) that I'd really like to use. Unfortunately, the lighting is very bad. The area is suitably lit, but the characters and creatures appear dark. I downloaded the levels that bioware puts out, but it was not contained in that pack. Is there any way to either get the level file so I can lightmap it myself or fix the lightmapping somehow?

no, it's a test level that was somehow abandoned and never used - but you can rebuild it easily with the use of the toolset^^

Are there more of these unused levels?

Levels and I don't get along... I can make them, but I bloody hate it. Recreating that level would take me all day... unless you know a shortcut that I don't. (And hopefully you do...???)
There is an area layout list on the wiki, but I can't seem to find it now. Anyway... from my memory, there are maybe 3 or 4 more. I think there's one set in the deep roads with some sort of purple lighting. A couple castle hallway type areas. There *might* be another unfinished deep roads area with lava. But if this one is an indication, the others may have the same problem with lighting. Which makes them practically worthless. Though hopefully not... because some of them looked kind of neat.

Can't you just ditch the lights and redo them?

I only have the area layout, not the level. Unfortunately, the level is what contains the lights. If I could find the level someplace... but I don't know how to get my hands on it. One of the Bioware guys might have it... but my PM asking for it would probably get lost amongst the 5 million PMs they receive a day. Sometimes I feel sorry for them... but right now I'm too busy feeling sorry for myself. lol

EDIT: Whoops, thought it was in the level sources but that was brc200d. My bad.

D'oh! It says area right there in the title, but I was still thinking level.... Sorry.... Y'know, if they put out a DLC of modding materials, DLC animations, ommitted levels, etc, I'd buy it. Maybe we should ask. It would be easy as pie for them to put together, and could leave out the DLC stuff they really don't want us to have.
