Well the difference is that those games are Fantasy. ME is Sci-fi and tries to simulate what is most likely to happen in the future, and currently combat armor is unisex.
There are limitations to that. If you are part of a minority who wants to live out said fantasies, I say play some other..."games"...
Yes, a part of Mass Effect focuses on Romancing. Shepard can be straight or not; That means that g a y romances should be possible as well.
In no way does Mass Effect/2 hint at Shepard wanting to change his gender or dress as the other gender...

If the female armor wasn't form fitting, it'd be potentially damaging to her body (lots of chest bouncing), and it's also impractical. The most practical armor would be skin tight and unintrusive, and as such the female versions of armor are feminised to make them more practical.
If that was indeed true, then why are current US-issue body armor unisex...?
Also, athletic females shouldn't be that large in the chest area due to excercise and burning fat.

Mass effect armor design is rather "accentuating", as is it in most games.
Let's just say Bioware knows their audience.

my justification for sexy armor
and if your problem is that their breasts are too large for athletic women well.. that has nothing to do with the armor. miranda's excuse is she was genetically produced to an intelligent and competent barbie doll.

U.S. Bodyarmor is made for men because the vast majority of the U.S. fighting force is men because women are restricted from major combat roles. It is very non-unisex.

Please give a reason to add constructively to this discussion. I've noticed that modern body armor in the real world are unisex. Why is it different in ME?
Actually there are specialized sets of body protection made for the female curve in our modern age. Most body armor you see in use by almost any military, are designed specifically for males. Considering that men are the ones allowed in combat roles. Especially in China.
P.S. Your bad trolling is bad. Please send it back to china and get a refund. I think it might be laced with lead paint.

In my opinion Mass Effect has good balance in armors compared to other games.

Miranda wants to wear leather skin-tight suit and high-heels on the Normandy? Fine with me, I'd actually enjoy her company. Prancing around like that in a firefight... er, no. Or Samara's open chest-piece. What is she, glutton for punishment? Seriously, what kind of a commander and a ship captain I'm playing if I can't even use armor on my subordinates (yes, yes, I know - DLC...).
That needs fixing. Actual female armor, it's fine, I think.
EDIT: Oh, by the way - bringing up the point that the breast piece is more comfortable for females is a rather
ridiculous excuse - its really not ballistic efficient. I'm no female, but over the prospect of being comfy or alive, you can bet what I'd pick up. Sorry folks, sex in all forms sells. Nothing wrong in it, but don't deny it.

Never watched that movie actually. I just liked it cause the flat chestpiece looked awesome and still showed the women underneath

Yes because they should be unisex. I really don't care myself since I always play male, but it may draw heat from feminists that females are sexualized in the game.

"OMG the reapers are invadin, how do we kill them" "Quick someone load the ancient prophecy mass effect, for the love of god skip to part 3"
Also aside from yur stupidity. Yes its unisex, but it may not be in teh future.

Most boobs are not made of fat. They are called mammary glands for a reason. Jesus Christ.

I gotta say, this made me laugh. Maybe TC should spend a little more time on wikipedia and a little less time on these forums making silly topics. Also just for future reference, yes TC breasts have some fat but that is only a part of the whole.
In terms of the actual topic itself...I never once felt that female armor was over-sexualized. If he is complaining about Miranda and Jack. Dude what they are wearing is not armor. As for FemShep. No. I always figured it is form fitting to stop from restricting movement, think of it the same way you would a wetsuit. A tight form fitting suit is better/more comfortable for swimming/diving/surfing than wearing baggy jeans and a large t-shirt.
Please. Stop making topics that are obviously made to just either annoy people and get very predictable responses. (and yes I do see the irony in the fact that my own response is a predictable one)
Also, just my own question. Eddo, what do you think of MaleShep's armor? Because last time I looked it was just as form-fitting as the female variants. In fact the ME1 light armors are pretty much the same level of tightness as the female ones, complete with cod-piece to boot.
