Though there is some pandering to the male fans, it goes the other way too. Just look at Kaidan, Jacob, or even Thane (plus every Turian voice ever). As a female gamer who plays tons of RPGs it's hilarious that Bioware is being accused of not considering females, since they're probably the most progressive company out there when it comes to actually letting girls play as their own gender at all, and not making it feel like an afterthought.

I would think my prior Female Marines would have loved the futuristic well fit gear. Comfort is a rare thing to get, just like good chow and sleep.

Having worn body armor ( it isn't really armor folks... just something you'll hope stop most things so the damage isn't bad depending upon what was used and who shot you), I would say that I would have ran for the requistion officer to get a free-fitting set of armor that was comfortable becuase brother let me tell you --- after a good 10 - 20 miles in a nasty flack vest, a crappy helmet weighing your neck down, the 80lb gear --- it an't paradise.

I dont mind the vest... I would have traded 2 vests, if I could just take the damn helmet off... I sitll dont get why can't we just wear light kevlar helmets, instead of those damn buckets. Damn neck got a while tog et use to those buckets.

Man I hear that --- when I first trained with them, I didn't know how bad it would get until a good 4..6.. hours later. After that --- I always hated them... and you were really SOL if you didn't at least have that padding underneath.

I love the bum-cheek armour on my FemShep.
Saucy.
The butt pads? I was never sure what those were for actually, extra padding? It's not like anyone's going to shoot you there.
Of course, I was just using an over the top example.Em23 wrote...

I cannot verify the seriousness of these suggestions, but the armor in Mass Effect is hardly as sexualized as say, armors in an Eastern MMORPG. If anything I'd consider them pretty conservative. They look different for M/F because it adds more visual variety.
If you do want to see "oversexualized," Go look up the Dark Elves from Lineage 2 or the Castanics from TERA Online.

I agree actually. Out of all the women in me2, femshep is by far one of the least over-sexualised.Ragabul the Ontarah wrote...
Actually, I don't think they are over-sexualized. To the contrary, I think a lot of the DLC armor makes my femshep look like a dude...
Some of the other women however....

paddings... yeah I might have been good in somet hings... but instantly being eager to wear the helmet... was not a nice thing. A friend as a joke, tried to take it off to quick... my scalp paid the price..... they gave me a helmet the first time without pads... sigh I didn't look foward to sweatin for 3 days.
Still I have absolutely NO idea, why we can't just wear light kevlar helmets.. they are smallar, fit almost exactly on any head... and they protect just from fragmentation.... normal helmet can't stop bullets so why have em so damn BIG.
Sigh... hopefully one day military will either make a full protective helmet, or just go light helmets.... heavier buckets, that still dont stop rounds are just dead weight,, my back has enough problems as it is lol.
Still though, I dont think there is a better feeling, than hitting the barraks at 9:15 after a day or marching.....
If is anything the military left in me is:
1- Appreciate ****** time
2-Appreciate crap time
3- Appreciate sleep time
4-Appreciate chow time

At least they aren't wearing striptease outfits like Samara, Miranda, and Jack.
I like Samara's outfit. I'm sure asari find it rather conservative. Miranda's isn't too gratuitous either, it's just tight and white. Jack is going for shock value, so her getup makes sense too.
