Thank the stars that someone like you came around to introduce logic and reason to the chaos of this forum. I've tried and the message was getting lost.

no big deal bud, I'm excited about ME2 going to PS3, I'm really interested to see how the in-house port turns out, and eager to understand more about the new intro for ME2 will be implemented for those getting their first taste of the Mass Effect experience, like I said I'll be adding more information as it becomes available from as many sources I can gain access to, because the fact of the matter is this is something of great interest not just to me, but to a hell of a lot of gamers out there.

Didn't they same the same thing about ME2?
“So even though it’s Mass Effect 2 specifically, we’re making sure
there’s a nice introduction experience, that provides the back-story and
the things that have happened up to that point in the universe, and
makes it a really seamless introduction.”
Isn't that just going to confuse folks new to the game? I always thought ME2 would have been a much better experience if I had never played the first one.

There have been various comments and statements expressing how much of a learning experience ME2 was for BioWare, from planet scanning to whatever else you can think of many things have been taken for what they're worth as well as with feedback from the fans. It is BioWares game so it is ultimately up to them how they proceed with anything further. As with you and me and everyone else we'll just have to wait and see.
I dont think it's going to confuse gamers new to Mass Effect, if anything it will provide an understanding of who you are and what you're doing in the universe which is Mass Effect.

Ray did not comment on whether or not the PS3 "version" of ME2 would be available for 360, nothing was mentioned about the PC getting any of the "intro" stuff or not, I will go out on a limb and say it's not likely, mainly because ME1 has been available for both 360 and PC therefore it'd be kind of overkill to add the PS3's intro content to the other platforms.
As far as "new things", when he spoke of "new things to bear' in regards to bringing ME2 to PS3, nobody knows except BioWare, as to what the new things are going to be or already are. Just have to wait and see.

Why would it be? If the pc/xbox users want a summary of the first game, just buy it for 6 bucks and do a play through where you skip all the side missions.
I understand and being that I've already played ME1 on both 360 and PC, I understand your point, however nothing has been said in the form of a yes or a no, I would have to think that for whatever reason the PS3's version of ME2 becoming available to PC and 360 would be based on the reception people(both critics and consumers) give on the elements that make the PS3 version of ME2 different from the other platforms ME2.

I think it would be cool regardless of whether you've played ME1 or not to have the ability to see what the PS3 version is all about when all is said and done, I mean if you end up with a PS3 down the road or if you have one now you'll have the experience anyways, but I do think it'd be a pretty cool thing for everyone to experience either way, but in regards to it actually being patched into the current platforms(PC and 360) versions of ME2 remains to be seen and commented on.

I don't care for the intro, I have ME1 anyways, but I'm seriously pissed if PS3 gets exclusive content. And it sure doesn't help that BioWare just doesn't say anything.
There has been no announcement or statement, stating that the PS3 will be getting "exclusive content".

hope you're right.
because I
bought the Collectors' Edition imported, cost me US$ 122.00, bought all the
DLCs, bought the Terminus Pack (which was sold in pre-sales ).... I mean ... I am true fan of the series .. just
do not buy more stuff from BioWare Store because it is very expensive
import them to Brazil (such as action figures, etc. ..) The only thing
missing I buy the Collectors' Edition Dragon Age: Origins to access
armor. So would all who came out for the game.
It would be a lack of respect for Bioware with PC gamers something to launch the Playstation 3 that does not have the PC. A lack of respect.

Ouch that sucks it cost that much for you to get the Collectors Edition imported to you.
Again nothing has been said about what content(DLC, promos, etc) is specifically going to be on the PS3 version, the only real difference that's been established is an introductory element. So at this point with whats been actually said, there is little to no reason to be concerned about specifics when there arent any at this time.

gotta agree with everyone, sorting through the other PS3 thread can be hard to say the least. I had previously read all of the articles you posted but that Twitter post about ME 1 still impacting ME 3 is EXACTLY what I was looking for so thank you for pointing that out, I have since added him to my twitter account.
Yes it is a headache in the announcement thread, and I cant say much about the other ME2 PS3 related threads either, without any info on them unless you feel like digging through tons of posts that are pretty damn ignorant, I'm not that shocked about it all though, just posting: ME2 is coming to PS3 with hours of bonus content, lol well you get my drift, it leaves alot of room for people to say NOOOOOO FAIR THAT PS3 GETS EXCLUSIVE CONTENT!!!, when in fact nothing has been said that anything will be exclusive to the PS3 version of ME2. But it is how it is on here.

Look at it this way. What would be Bioware's incentive in having PS3-exclusive content? Once content is created, it's far less work to port it to the X360 and PC. I think any new content that coincides with the PS3 game launch will be made downloadable for the other platforms simply because Bioware can monetize it.

Again "content for the PS3" has not been announced in any real detail other than current DLC available for PC and XBOX being included(nothing specific as to the exact DLC included), and the intro module(which logically can be considered exclusive to the PS3). So let's not get ahead of ourselves.
