I know that Knightmare has a large set of icons posted to the NWN2 Vault. Has anybody gone through and used the item properties and descriptions from the Baldur's gate series to generate the corresponding items for NWN2? That might be a nice addition to the pool of existing items, and it would save a lot of work generating colorful descriptions.

Thanks. :bandit:

mikesrpgcenter.com/bgate/index.html

**And says**... "Get to it".

Edit:- hmm that site doesnt have any throne of Baal items, from the looks of it.

Opps it does... silly me. mikesrpgcenter.com/bgate2/items.html

Well actually I meant the item prose descriptions that you can read in the game, rather than the magical properties. But that's a good start for configuring the Item Properties and so forth.

Whoops my misunderstanding, sorry... yeah I always liked those descriptive texts, they where alot better than the ones that NWN1/2 has, I think i read every single one on items i got while playing BG/BG2, while ive never read one for NWNs. They where very similar in style to ones ive read in my old 1st edition 'The Magister' book.

A good historical description can turn a simple +1 longsword into something special. The one problem I have with them though is in NWN2 and 1 the examine gui window hardly helps draw you in... you sort of wizz down to the bottom to view the stats... the parchment and side by side with a little hand drawn picture setup was alot more conductive to making the player read the lore, since you didnt have to skip the lore to see the stats... wonder if its posible to do something like that in NWN2... hmm.

Bingo...

www.gamefaqs.com/pc/258273-baldurs-gate-ii-shadows-of-amn/faqs/9332

That SHOULD have every identified items description from BG 2 in it according to its maker.

That is true. Yes, I think that would be a good idea, if possible. Maybe the item description uses an xml file that can be overridden?
