I made a new texture for the goblet--temporarily, as right now it overwrites the default one. Thing is, it looks king of jaggy at the top, and I was wondering it that's the type of dds format I picked. I used:
DXT5         ARGB   8 bpp | interpolated alpha.
I've tried another that was recommended before--one without interpolation, and the color data was lost, so I'm guessing that's not it. ;) Too bad I can't remember which that was, heh....
Anyway, should I be using something different, or is there some other reason for the jagged edge?

That's an anti-aliasing issue, not a texture issue. You can see it on the table edge as well. Is this in the game or the toolset?

That would be why then. Load up the module in the game (or a save from the Joining cutscene) and see what the texture looks like.

Oh, okay! I didn't realize it would be so different. I should have, though, since the toolset doesn't have anti-aliasing settings.... Thanks!

If you want you can force the toolset to apply anti-aliasing over at 3d renders.

You can do that on your graphic card's control panel.

BTW, the globet looks so much better!

Oh, cool! I'll look at that. And thanks! :)
Edit: Found it! Is 4x a good choice for balancing performance with results?

Yes, 4x is enough.

Since the toolset does not render much, unless you are editing the world, you can set it even higher.

Of course that depends on the power of your card too.

Hopefully the Toolset limit the frames rendered in 3d view using Vertical Syncronization.

So you don't have to worry about your card's temperature.

Sorry I didn't see your response until now! Thanks! It's much better now, although I'm still seeing a little aliasing on some objects, so I think I'll try 8x and see how that goes. I'm working with larger layouts now, so that may not always be feasible, but for smaller ones, it should be okay....
