Hm... I don't know, I really don't like Vaughan, I would think about him all the time when playing Hawke. Well, he do has a good voice and I'll be distracted by the hawtness.

In-game Hawke to me is cuter while the CG Hawke is just on a whole other level. Both are good, though. Nutella.... Hawke... Alistair... *drool*

I have no drawing talent but I do have a fanart idea if anyone wants to roll with it.

It's a scenic place in the forest, a small waterfall gently trickles down into a pond connected to a river.  Forest is all around ...

And in that pond, m!Hawke is washing up.

But he is not alone for the trees and bushes have eyes ... the eyes of rabid, stalking fan girls/boys.

And under that picture would be Alistair and Zevran in little cameo panes laughing at m!Hawke saying it's his turn now! 

Ok that sounds ridiculously cute, and also very like something Aimo would draw. Although we've got other artists here who are quite good. *nudges them*

Sorry for bringing this post back from 5-6 pages ago, but the request was interesting and I wanted to give it a shot (ok, I was a little bored, too). I took Blessed Silence's idea (with a few changes), and after spending some time on it, this is what I ended up with! I tried to keep the character's familiar, albiet a bit more cartoony.

You have to realize that not everyone's Hawke will be that gruff looking. You need a voice versatile enough to be able to pull off both sides of the spectrum. Like someone mentioned in the Hawke's VA thread, a softer voice could pull off a beard much sooner than a caveman gruff voice could work for someone with a softer appearance.

But, hey, peas and carrots. Opinions are plentiful, especially on the Internet.

Personally I read it as DG suggesting the VA played a character not many people liked/actually hated, rather than whether he was noticed by the fans or not. I'm still going with either Nicholas Boulton (Vaughn) or Peter Bramhill (Cailan) as the most likely right now. There are certainly other British VA's that voiced unpopular Origins characters though, so I guess we have to wait until the reveal.

So... I'm guessing this thread is Garrett Hawke exclusive from now on?
