This thread will grow even more rediculous once the VA is announced and we get some dialogue I'm sure. Look forward to it. I kinda hope we get a bunch of voices at once though, say Varric, Hawke, Cass and Bethany would do.

This is one really fun post. Why can't they all be this good humoured and fun?



I also agree that this is one of the few games where I would probably play the default look of the character. It is really strange that others feel this pull towards him, if BW did some psychology research for this - fair game to them. It's definately working. I don't know what it is but there is something for everyone in his appearance as stated by Wynne earlier ( nice explanation btw).



As for the VA I think the voice of Lord Vaughn as linked earlier is pretty likely, given the clues that he is a British actor and with good acting skills and played an unpoplular character in the first DA game. I think it would suit the character quite well. Being a Brit I usually find these kind of characters (Strong, rough, powerful looking guys) have deep rough American accents rather than English ones. I wonder how it will affect the character? Off topic for a moment - the voice of Lord Vaugh was linked by Dave of Canada earlier, and the face of the bride in that video made me burst out laughing so hard - please do watch it - it will put a smile on your face that's for sure



I love the options for romancing with Hawke - his own sister - his self and I think someone suggested a Broodmother? I'm not quite sure how that would work out but ......... anyway....

For "gay option" you mean a gay LI or a gay Hawke? He do kissed the pirate bit... I mean, woman, so this kinda make any option of make a gay Hawke (that's it, deny any malexfemale relationship and sitck with a malexmale relationship like you could do in Origins)... hardly beliaveble. There is the possibility that we don't have any gay (or male bissexual) LI, if we consider Mass Effect. However, Mass Effect is Mass Effect and Dragon Age is Dragon Age.

I have this feeling that we count with a FemalexFemale relationship, anyway.

It's not out of the question to show a gay romance because of what was shown in a trailer.

Hmm, that's true. And still, Miranda and her ****** are not canon. There's still hope... or not, anyway

This is a very good point. Will Bioware retcon Hawke into a romance with this woman at least at some point? Either Hawke? I don't think that would go over so well, I know a few people who wouldn't be too keen on the idea of a cannonized bisexual Fem!Hawke. Or maybe for a female Hawke, she and the pirate woman are just strong friends.

While watching the trailer, the flashbacks tell pretty much a lot if you pause during them, you can clearly see Lothering burning and Hawke going to Kirkwall then Flemeth flying near as a dragon. Idk, no more trailers for me..

Oh absolutely, I agree with you wholeheartedly - I would swap her out of the trailor and in her place would be a large pot of Nutella, now personally I have never had Nutella, but I am a fan of nuts and I am also a fan of Garret Hawke so I imagine they would go together quite beautifully.

Bioware have consistantly been against any idea of 'canonizing' Dragon Age in all the posts I've read about it from them.

This doesn't mean they won't one day make this or that 'canon', but I think it is extremely unlikely. KotOR only got a canon story due to the demands of the Star Wars EU. They will presumably have a default set of 'things that happened in Origins' for those who play DA2 without an import, but that isn't the same as having a canon storyline or character.
