And yes. It's gonna be hard to top our Mr. Hawke in the looks department. BioWare is probably stuck between high-fiving themselves for making such a popular design and wondering what the hell they're gonna do now, lol. Aside from letting us have Varric, obviously.

They should do a two-for-one. Male Hawke can romance your dwarf while female players can romance me (that is trapped in your body after being eaten whole). It'll had interesting complexity to romance options that have never been done before!

Yay! Nasty fat midget sex for everyone!!

I love how you threw that in there as a subtle cry for help. *looks the other way*

But since I'm stuck in your stomache, would it count as a threesome?

Well, technically it would count as the Double Dwarf Downtown, but no one needs to know what that means.

Honestly, Atlus did a wonderful job with that. It is a quality product and the marketing for it was fine. Especially the box art juxtaposing the male and female protagonist. Doesn't alienate the male audience, and maybe even draws in people. Heh.

They really did. Persona 3 Portable is pretty much the only game apart from Dragon Age where I immediately started a second game to get everything and talk to (and date) people I hadn't in my first runthrough. I had already played the PS2 version 2x, so playing as a female gave such an awesome alternate look to the game.  I also love that they're not afraid to put both the main character options in their advertising and promo art. Almost as soon as they announced P3P they had images of both protagonists together, and of both of them alone. By making it clear you could play as either from the get go, they used it as an advertising point and a huge draw (especially to people who now got a chance to date their favorite male characters, muaha)./

I was just bummed that I couldn't snag Jin of Team Strega. That's my only bummer-mode. I mean, Junpei got Chidori. why oculdn't I get Jin? D:

On topic: Dave's beard controls all. Discuss. Wait, no, that's not the topic.

Lol, reminds me of all the girls crying they couldn't have Junpei because of Chidori. I mean, if they let you date Ken :sick::sick::sick::sick: I'm totally one of the girls going "kyaaaa, it's Akihiko-senpai!!11" though

And yes. It's gonna be hard to top our Mr. Hawke in the looks department. BioWare is probably stuck between high-fiving themselves for making such a popular design and wondering what the hell they're gonna do now, lol. Aside from letting us have Varric, obviously.

Honestly, I was more excited for the Shinjiro one. It was probably the most depressing one out of them all, though. That one and the Ryoji one.

Probably high-fiving Blur for their designs, dangling Varric in front of us then taking him away while laughing maniacally! D:

First time 'round I only romanced Akihiko. Second run my girl was with Akihiko, Shinjiro, Ryoji, and Theodore... not to mention that thing with Aigis... man, she was a pimp. I actually like all the romance options, but I kind of like the innocent, hard-headed virgin type for guys... which is why I loved Alistair so much too xD

They must have known The Beard would get us.

I just had a very nasty thought that I refuse to elaborate upon. I think it is time to vomit you up.

You do know that doing so would provoke your stomache acid to kill me, right? Not even Hawke could protect me from that, nor the Nutella.

I love how you just end up adding to the wonderfully strange mental imagery this thread is producing right now. I can just picture a bunch of people curled up in a giant version of Hawke's beard, sound asleep, or in some cases eating each other and making out with chubby Dwarves.

Yeah new levels of weird.

To get back ontopic after so much weirdness, if you had to create a romance interest for Hawke (both genders) what would you create?

Another Hawke. The only person good enough for Hawke is Hawke.

hmmmmm... for Male!Hawke, I'd make an incredibly snarky and sarcastic female rogue. With Morrigan's wit but only a tenth of her seriousness

MaleHawke: Female Qunari.

LadyHawke: Varric. Accept no substitute.

For both genders? Hrmn. Well, if I would, let's see...

For Fem!Hawke, either a cheery, not-stoic and invigoratingly badass Male Qunari, an Ozai-type of character who does things because he has ambitions and goals, and is generally disliked by the party as a whole, but is fairly well-likeable perhaps, or perhaps gentle towards the female Hawke. But still ambitious as all hel. So Young Ozai, essentially.

For Male Hawke I would go with a sufficiently awesome Female Elven Warrior, and a Female Tal-Vashoth Qunari, possibly warrior or Rogue; maybe a Mage? Though she wouldn't have a tongue. Would be a rather weird relationship. < > 'I have no tongue and I must taste you!' is still an awesome line in my head.

Wow I don't even know. I don't find Varric's current ingame model very attractive but I think a personality like his would be so awesome as a LI, and different than what we've had before.

I also like the Brienne/Aveline type of character idea for a female LI. No idea if Aveline from DA2 is gonna be an LI but perhaps we'll be getting this after all.

I pretty much trust the writing team to charm me again, though. Go ahead, break my heart again! I dare you!

From what was spoiled by a CERTAIN SOMEONE that shall remain NAMELESS, Aveline seems like a female version of Carth Syndrome from what I've heard.

Nah Bioware have upgraded that, you dart about doing awesome things now instead of shuffling.

So... wait. What exactly is Carth Syndrome? She complains a lot and says 'down you go!" all the time? Or she is voiced by Raphael S'barge? :?
