The screen that pops up prompting you to name your mabari surprised me the first time and I accidently pressed enter after only accidently typing "wxz". I played a whole playthrough with my faithful hound wxz.

Perhaps a character with the same personality as the Mabari would be a good LI? Wise, loyal, strong, persuasive, and enjoys cleaning the character. Certainly Wxz would prefer Nutella to darkspawn wine.

Though I did name him Caligula in most of my playthroughs (after my cat IRL), so maybe it is appropriate...

@Anarya: As I remember I only ever bothered to do the Dustil stuff once, and I can't remember what happened to him but I remember -wanting- to kill him. Then my memory just goes all blurry and fuzzy and my Revan was back on the Ebon Hawke. Carth was crying, I'm not sure why.

The Mabari would respond that way to the Grey Warden, but it would certainly be more polite to Hawke. If not, then the Mabari wouldn't be able to sleep in Hawke's beard.

He's named Caligula because our only other pet at the time was a ferret named Nero. We were just continuing the trend, heh.

He's supposed to be crying in the last panel, but resizing the image down to this level has made it more subtle.

I call them how I see it. Our yabbie for example is a eating machine and known as fat bastard. Our dog is called twinkie.

I like westerns, so my 3 cats are called Butch, Sundance & The Outlaw Josey Wales.
