Have you done Ortan Thaig yet - at the end of this -ahem- Thaig, there will be a way for you to travel to The Dead Trenches. You'll need to to go through Aeducan Thaig first, though. Be prepared for a very, very, very, very long.....ahem.....stay....
Try to remember what either Harrowmount or Bhelen told you, go through the old mines....

Actually, it is after Carridin's Cross there will be a way to Ortan Thaig...
