Ok, been at gamescom yesterday, and ofcause played DA2.
I played the PC version, since I played DAO on the pc as well.
First I was sceptical about the new action orientated combat they introduced, but after testing it for my self I've been quite surprised, cause it actually played pretty good. The fast responsive gameplay and the fluid animations gives you quite the 'Whoa' effect. It's more focused towards action but the hotkeys still remain, which gives you more an evolved kinda DAO combat gameplay.
I was also quite sceptical about the dialogue wheel, and my fears have become true. It's crap to put it bluntly. Now instead of going the mass effect way of picking the path of the 'upper' goody shoes, or the 'middle' neutral, or the 'lower' madcat dialogue options all the way through the game.
We now can choose to run the game through as either 'upper' goody shoes, 'middle' sarcastic dudle, 'lower' grumpy smurf.
It's more a personality choice now rather then a karma choice if you compare it to mass effect.
So don't expect much RPG quality choices like in DAO.
Well, it's still an early demo, so I guess you can take this with a small grain of salt.
But so far the combat looks great and the dialogue crap.
your review is negative, expect a lot of flaming for not saying that "game is crap but I KNOW it's just an alpha build so it's going to be awesome because Laidlaw said so"
If people posts a negative review and people says "oh you are a troll, since we know it's just in early stages of development and it's going to be great" what's the point in asking for the people's impressions first? what's the point if it's so alpha that people is going to dislike it?
