I'm at the very end after you've stolen the Normandy and before going to Ilos. I'm planning on importing my file to ME2 so I was checking the Mass Effect wiki before heading off to the end to make sure I've done all sidequests. I noticed that I am missing Hostile Takeover and it says it can only be obtained on the Citadel. It is obviously too late for the Citadel. I have all other Missions and Assignments completed so it kills me to have missed this.

Are there any other ways to get this assignment, will I get another chance on the Citadel, or if not, how will this affect Mass Effect 2 or what will be missing?

I can't believe I missed it after how many times I visited the Citadel.

Ah, sorry, you really do need to talk to Helena Blake about this. She's the one who gives you the assignment and depending on how you finish this assignment, might appear in Mass Effect 2 in Omega.



It's not overly important, it sounds like you've done all the big things already. You go enjoy that glorious ending of ME1 :-D

Thanks. It sucks I missed it but I am pretty excited for the ending. This is my first completion of the game. I'm also pretty excited to see how all this affect ME2.

Well if you have a save from before you left the Citadel, the end run doesn't really take that long. You could reload that save and talk to Helena. You don't need access to complete it, just to acquire it.  Also if you're trying for  a completionist run it helps to use a checklist such as http://masseffect.shockfront.ca/

I was going to say the same thing as Grey Ranger. An earlier save would do just fine, if you're willing to go through stuff again.

The saves I have are at Noveria (the first mission I did), in the mines where you save Liara (second mission I went through), and right before going to Ilos but right after stealing the Normandy. I screwed up when I overlooked missing this one. I thought I was all done with the Citadel. I'm not really willing to do half the game over for one assignment.

Although, I was about 8000 exp away from level 50 when I ended, so that stung quite a bit too. I have been thinking about redoing the end just so I can at least get the level 50 acheivement.

And I did get the completionist achievement during the game. But I see complete a little differently than the game does I guess.

Or I might just do the New Game+ next time I'm in the mood for the game and try getting from level 49 to 60 (and making sure to get all side quests lol). This is my first completion of the game but not my first playthrough, so I'm sure I'll play it again some time.
