And your squadies have Unstable Warp anyway, just for the shorter cooldown. And it's always a good idea to bring Miranda or Thane for some additional warpfun. If you want to inflict maximum damage Shep uses Heavy Warp and whenever the extra blast radius is required, you can use Miranda/Thane's.
