Hey guys!
Common problem i think, cant seem to find any new info on google thought i'd try giving you guys a bell.
last week, mass effect 2 and DA ran perfectly, since then i have reinstalled the same OS (xp 32) not changed a single setting in the bios, no hardware changes bar a new partition on my drive.
and now i get laggy cutscenes and gameplay, slightly laggy. bioware support told me this was a windows 7 64 error and i downgraded, so to find it now has greatly angered me.
ive removed/reinstalled sounddrivers and codecs as well as reinstalled the lastest graphics drivers for my card 3 times, as well as using a driver cleaner before a fresh driver install (card is a nivd 9600GT)
I'm at a lose end really, my one day off a week and i wanna play and i cant. any solutions/hotfixes?
appreciated guys.
Laggy cutscenes/gameplay DA and ME2

Try using slightly older graphic drivers which are WHQL certified, assuming you are now using newer drivers than the ones you had last week before you reinstalled Windows?

yep, they are exactly the same drivers as i had installed last week.
i will try some older ones.
any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Another suggestion would be to try and play with audio disabled through the launchers configurator. Sometimes the game runs great without audio and poorly with it on. This can be caused by conflicting devices, drivers or settings.

Maybe something a little too simple, but are your game graphic settings identical to last time? The configurator auto-detect might have chosen higher quality settings than you were previously running on that are causing the slowdown?

yeah i always choose the same graphics options but i dont think it is those. it seems more like the games out of sync. and its ONLY bioware games, none of my other games are affected.
all i did was reinstall my OS.

Have you also reinstalled SP3 for XP? Have you tried to disable GPU PhysX in NVidia control panel?
