Oh and StarMarine how did you get Hawke as your display pic?

The old custom way...;)

I just made a screenshot from the trailer and used it. To use a custom avatar just follow these instructions.

I hope I could help. :)

If you can't see the sign up area then I suggest trying the website in a different browser. It worked for me.

Got an email about DAII with the trailer advert and all that on it as well as the sign up for the in game goodie, but not sure if that means I am signed up or not.

When I enter my email and password for the newsletter on the DAII home page I get "Invalid Login Details" every time.

Strange thing is I am logged into here and EA in general with the same details.

Looks like I have no chance unless being signed up for the general newsletter lets me in.

Is the Bioware newsletter the same as the Dragon Age 2 newsletter? If not, where do I find the Newsletter?

EDIT: I opened it with IE, and it worked.

You can't buy DLCs with Achievement points, you have to buy Bioware points instead(for real money).

What are achievement points for then?  I was always curious about that.

Like xbox achievement points and playstation trophies. They are only there to make you feel happy and can compare with friends. You do not spend them, they are not a currency. It's like a high score on an arcade game, pat yourself on the back for getting a huge number, but you don't win anything.

So, I signed up for the newsletter last time and haven't gotten anything in my email related to dragon age 2 at all.The newsletter signup thing isn't there so I assume I'm signed up for it. Is this normal? (And no, before you ask, there's nothing in my junk folders.)

Same here. Any info would be helpful.

Same here as well, so you guys arent alone.

Are any of you using MSN Hotmail? I'm using it and I haven't recieved anything either. Admittedly, it's a complete shot in the dark, but I'm trying to figure out if I should consider that a problem.

You can add me to the list as well though I'm using Yahoo Mail.  I registered for this when it was first announced and never received anything.  I re-registered again when this was announced again (and when people had mentioned they were receiving the newsletter) and still nothing.  Haven't received anything in the spam folder either (I keep looking) so I'm not sure if I am on there or not (I'd like to think so since I received other offers like who I'd want to go with me in ME2 and announcements of sales but nothing DA2).

Thanks.

Ditto as well for yahoo mail , but I did receive my email about my purchases, so I know the store side email works.

Yahoo mail for me too.  I just signed up for the newsletter and I double checked to make sureI typed in the right EA email.  And I do get purchase confirmations on my yahoo mail whenever I get DLC's.

Crud XP, I was hoping they'd make some sort of ingame shop or something to buy awsome equipment but then again I suppose that wouldn't work out very well...

Considering there's a console command to unlock all achievements. there's no way that they could ever be worth anything.

Maybe they want to discourage a spam of sign ups and people requesting multiple codes.

I shouldn't worry, apparentley you don't need to like the facebook page anymore, and i think they may have too many codes. As i'm sure this game will sell well, only a fraction of the sales will be people who keep track of it, i.e. us so i think most people here will get a code for the weapon.
