Why do developers keep making B.S difficulty !! I get it the freaks who have no life have time to play it on the hardest setting but for others who deal with Stressful living can stress out over a developers interpretation of what a challenge is . All you did was allow the AI to get headshots and shoot without missing ( amazing )

I wanted to play this game 2 times but realized its not going to happen since the Developer's made it impossible ! Uncharted:2 got the difficulty levels right . Not to hard but still brings a challenge - Mass effect creates the opposite effect I was going to buy this game until I realized its impossible to beat it on insanity ! O well mass effect:3 will be a rental as well ...

Way too Damn hard

Seriously? You couldn't just turn it down and practice on a lower difficulty until you could beat it on Insanity? You couldn't just go to one of the hundreds of threads of people giving hints and tips on beating Insanity with various classes? You just had to come and whine and insult people who have actually accomplished something (you know, like developing an incredible game or beating a game on the hardest level) and insist that everyone fall to your level instead of trying to do better?

And you say they have no life?

I don't want the pointless achievement - I just hate the developers interpretation of a challenge

Its called progression.

Start off on normal, then play on Veteran, then play on Hardcore, then play on Insanity.

I really hate these pathetic whine threads. "The hardest difficulty is too hard! Waaaah! Waaaaah!"

Just turn the bloody difficulty down.

Different people have different levels of skill and experience and want different levels of challenge.

So basically, you're bad. You have no concept of a challenging game if you think mass effect is hard. Geeze. Also, ever considered that Insanity isnt supposed to be a push over. I don't play it on any other setting, but I guess that puts me in your no life gamer category. Some people are just worse then others.

Well some people enjoy that level of challenge. There are some games that come with "Player Tailoring" so players can adjust individual elements to preference. Like things dying quickly but also want to die fast? No problem, set it that way. Rather slug it out with te AI? Set it!

It's actually a good idea. One that BioWare should maybe look at for ME3. Please everyone then.

lol ME or ME2 on insanity is quite easy once you get the hang of it yet at times it can be hard (hate them god damn husks) but still try try try try try try try and you will get it right infact when i first started to play on insanity i thought that i would never get past it but i did, and the devs did a damn good job on the difficulty settings!

Dude its just a game. I cant play DA:O on anything but normal or lower, I suck at that. ME I play on insanity. Sports games on medium. If its too hard lower the difficulty, if its too easy, raise it. Thats why they give you the option.

I myself don't find insanity that hard, though I've only just started my first playthrough on that difficulty. It just takes more patience, and a LOT better management of your powers and ammo. Some enemies, such as Geth Hunters, are a bit more aggressive in closing the distance, and that can be a pain, but that's what powers like throw and lift are for.

Granted, I chose to play as Sentinel for my first Insanity playthrough, so I'm a bit tougher than most other classes aside from Soldier, but my Tech Armor still dies really quick. You really have to utilize the best cover and prioritize your targets in a way that's not as necessary on lower difficulty levels.
