For a combat DLC it's better than Return to Ostagar and Darkspawn Chronicles so if you enjoyed them at all, then you will like Golems of Amgarrak.

Tough fights, little storyline, no character development, no replay value. Definitely at the bottom of my list.

As long as we keep buying these rip-off DLCs they will keep doing them.

Look at what was done withe the DLCs for Fall Out 3.

Games like Crysis with community additonal game play are what PC gaming is about.

Golems of Amgarrak, in Nightmare Difficult Mode (that's how I played the DAO and there weren't many hard fights) is a huge challenge. All enemies level up and I'm in the most difficult fight I've ever faced, vs. 4 Boss-tier golems and 2 Elite Golems in a very reduced space... it's literally impossible in Nightmare and extremely difficult in Hard. My character has level 25, the companions have level 24 and I'm using all the great items from the original campaign and the great items provided by this expansion.

I have yet to play anything other than the origins campaign and Leliana's Song(I'd give Leliana's song a '8 out of 10' because it fights were uninspired and it was short but that is DLC for you. But It sheds light on one of many player's favorite character's past...money well spent...I really need to install a windows partition on my HDD so I can install my PC copy and install some of the cool patches players developed) . Though I want to add something to this old thread. DLC is meant to get more fun game play time out of your game...That being said if you do not like the game(Awakening was an expansion of Origins so it technically is Origins) or awakening trade them in at gamestop (assuming you have the console ver. and didn't download awakening) and get something more suited to your taste in games, However I do not understand why anyone could dislike Dragon Age(other than console gamers as this game is more in the vein of PC titles like Neverwinter Nights...I myself have been a hardcore PC gamer from birth :Baldurs Gate to Neverwinter huge RTS/TBS fan...Oregon trail anyone? or maybe Adventure game? (Starcraft/Civ) but I'm also a console gamer....hell I just love Gaming in general =p) okay now I will end my pointless post on an old and likely abandoned thread...I hope my A.D.D. riddled post amuses someone who stumbles across this thread like I did.

correction play all the way through....and in my defense I am also a HUGE JRPG and Tactical RPGs gotta love lvl grinding =p(Examples: Disgaea, Yggrda Union, Luminous Arc, Final Fantasy Tactics) and I've a HUGE library of games on several platforms(Wii,DSi,PS3, and about any other platform) and I play one game for awhile then I play another keeps things fresh...though the Tactical RPGs especially the Disgaea series can pull me in for several weeks at a time...when that happens sleep deprivation is always present....work,class,game, sleep a couple hours...if it wasn't for red bull I doubt I'd be able to maintain my 3.8 gpa o_o ...damn I've gone of on another tangent....I am sorry everyone.
