He's the VA for the Ostagar guard that gives you directions, Owen the smith in Redcliff, and Justice from Awakenings.
Justice was a character that pretty much got ignored by the fanbase compared to other companions and NPC's, hence he fits the "not very popular" description.

I remember somewhere someone thought he sounded like cailan when they played the demo at san diego, so maybe him? I don't think he was majorly popular with fans (although I'm not too fussed, at least he has a genuine english accent, that's all I'm worried about at the moment lol)
Peter Bramhill.![]()
He speaks here, here, and here. *is a bit of a Cailan fanatic*
YES!

The voice actress that plays Alfstaana I also really like, she expresses her emotions well. I believe she also did the "wise" voice for female human Wardens?

Hahah! Seriously! Now it's all about his badassness and the beard. Of course Bramhill can't voice Hawke. Bramhill doesn't have the gravitas that comes with having the beard.shepard_lives wrote...
You know, it's seriously odd how just two weeks ago everyone complained about Garrett Hawke looking too much like a standard tough guy fantasy hero and now everyone wants the VA to sound deep and badass.
Pish posh.

I hope so. Ser Bryant is one of my favorites to listen to.

Omg...you mean you dont know who Simon Templeton is? THE Simon Templeton? I could go on for years about this man's talents (he's one of my favorite voice actors) but some of his more "recent" castings (within the last 10 years or so) include:
Skullmaster - From the cartoon Mighty Max (although I think a good lump sum of you are a bit too young to remember that one.)
Kain - From the popular Blood Omen and Legacy of Kain Series
Loghain - DA Origins
One of the Admirals - (ME2 and for the life of me can NEVER remember the admiral's name.)
Plus tons more works he's done which I could rake and scrounge up if needed but that's not even the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Anywho, VERY talented voice actor and easily in my top 3.

I also love how people underestimate an actor, thinking he can't alter his voice. Oh, the ignorant masses.

Wait, he was Skullmaster? I knew there was a reason I loved that character.

I'm going to throw myself in with the Cailan or Vaughn crowd. I have to admit, I think the guy who does Vaughn/Ser Bryant is really good (I love Ser Bryant's voice). Though considering Hawke is from Lothering, Jowan would make sense, seeing as he voices everyone else in that village.

Ok, maybe I'm going too far on the "not so popular" to a "freaking annoyingly unpopular"

That's good ole Mr. Blum, also did Oghren - and like 50% of male characters everything ever.

My money is on Templeton. Even if folks love/hate him, he fits the criteria of being a British born actor and can count as an 'unpopular' Origins character. Plus he came back to Bioware to do voice work for Overlord. Who is to say he wasn't there primarily to voice Hawke?
This video shows a pretty good example of his range:
See, as awesome as Simon Templeman is, I can (almost) always pick him out. He's too distinctive to a lot of people, and he already voiced Loghain, which I think is a pretty big mark against him coming back to do another important character. Not that I'd *mind*, because I think he's awesome. But he also sounds a bit too mature for M!Hawke.

The latter of which was not only Ser Byrant but also Bryce Cousland, I believe.... he seems the most likely.
Or, hey, maybe it'll be the guy who voiced Kristoff in Warden's Fall. He was in the main game too, as I recall.
I'd love Templeman -- because I love Templeman's work -- but I think he's too recognisable as Loghain. It would be like getting Claudia Black to do Lady Hawke: weird.Kerridan Kaiba wrote...
Edit: A differet part of me took over there.
I bet you it's Templeman. (Joke still stands!)
