I'm hoping for Peter Bramhill (though my profile pic might make that obvious 
), while Cailan might have been cheery and light-hearted, I can imagine the voice actor has wider range. I just might play a male Hawke first time round if it's him.
Vaughn would be awesome too. I thought his voice work in Origins was excellently delivered, especially considering the rather minor role he played. I'd love to see what he would do with a huge role like Hawke.
And while I don't think Templeman is voicing Hawke, I don't think he's restricted to gruffness. He was awesome as the smarmy, pompous Caladrius and the tranquil Emissary Pether. So while I don't think it's him, I don't think he would have a problem voicing Hawke's multiple personalities.

Since David Gaider mentioned that Hawke was voiced by someone from DAO, I'm fairly confident that it was Peter Bramhill that I heard in the demo.

Oh, you've heard it? That rules out some of the speculation, because there are some whose voices you'd recognized for sure.

Ohhh your the person who thought it sounded like Cailan! I heard someone had said that but wasn't sure exactly. That definitely puts Peter Bramhill as the favourite, it's a shame more folks havn't been able to give their impression of the VA though, if a few more said it reminded them of Cailan then it would basically be confirmed.

After reading David Gaider's comment about it, I hope it's not a voice actor from the DA:O companions (including Loghain). Having in mind that the actor didn't lend his voice to a popular npc the following actors are the ones I wish to do Hawke's voice:

Cailan seems to be the popular pick and I wouldn't mind him, but personally my dark horse is the guy who played Kolgrim. He was appropriately angry as Kolgrim, if you're going for a badass Hawke, but I thought he was pretty funny as Beyha Joam too (see here: ). And he's apparently British born too. Plus, if you interpret 'not a very popular character' to mean 'didn't have much of a fanbase'...well, Kolgrim didn't, did he? And if it means UNPOPULAR, well, I doubt most of us liked him.
