Cailan's voice actor was fine. The writers dictated and the voice actor did as told. No doubt if he was IT, he would have something different to offer.

I had a dream last night. In it, I was playing DA2 and I heard Hawke speak in an incredibly familiar voice that I couldn't place. Then, right after killing three Harvesters made from teletubby corpses in a single blow, I realized it was Cailan's but deeper.



Bethany also sounded like a giddy version of Morrigan but that's beside the point

Im going on the Steve Blum train, he was after all Oghren, Gorim and Irving.
And he seem to be able to carry the same tone in everything he does.

That's Teagan's VA and Teagan is pretty popular (especially with the ladies) so I bet it's not him.

I wouldn't have thought that Cailan was unpopular enough for the description to fit, but perhaps that's not the case. I thought Peter Bramhill did an excellent job, and if there have to be voiced PCs, well, I think he'd be a good choice.

Which is one reason, besides the fact that I like Cailan, that I hope he's the one.  It would make me lol.  Same deal if it's Jory's VA, another "wimpy" Origins character.  There has to be some reason for Gaider's maniacal laughter.

Vaughn's voice sounds 30s to me, too old if Hawke is supposed to be in his 20s.

??  Blum also sounds 40s and it's easy to make a voice scratchy/ old-sounding.  Not as easy to make it sound younger.

One of the devs just needs to come out and tell us how glorious Hawke sounds and then we'll know.

If it's Templeman, I would be happy. His voice has something unique to it that I can't quite describe.

Just as long as it's not a tranquil voicing Hawke, it should be fine.

As much as I hated Vaughn and relished killing him, his voice sounded very attractive. I'm sort of hoping he's Hawke's VA.
