I'm really hoping it's not Desmond Askew/Jowan... that would be unacceptable.

Oh boy can he deliver comic relief; his "undertaker" role in Jade Empire will have you rolling with laughter until it hurts!
Gravedigger Shen? Chris Postle voiced that character IIRC.
Interesting thread. I’m hoping it’s Nick Boulton. He seems to fit the profile- authentic accent, fairly versatile(check out his demo reel), experienced, affordable and voiced an unpopular character in DA:O.

wow, he's got a good voice that sounds like Hawke's. I wish for the life of me I paid more attention to hawke's voice when I had the chance.

Whoever it is will have to be veeery multi-talented, and the pressure would be very high.
They
are indeed. It wasn't easy to cast, as we required someone who could do
all three tones convincingly without sounding like a completely
different person each time. When people find out who the male PC is, I'm
going to laugh-- he was in Origins, but his character wasn't very
popular. Regardless, he has a wonderful voice and is quite
capable.

I bet on Bhelen's voice actor.
Not very popular character for sure.

What about the guy who plays Mouse?
His VA has to go from playing a weak animal to playing a human to playing a demon.
See, I don't hear it at all. Then again, I still don't think someone could get "Oh! That sounds like the guy who voiced Cailan," out of Boulton's voice, especially not after listening to the reel. Then again, I've made it pretty obvious where I stand and this post is entirely useless due to my blinding bias. Hah.Anarya wrote...
Oooh good find there with that demo reel. I'm even more into the idea of Boulton as Hawke (if that's possible). I can see why some people might have thought he sounded Cailan-ish.

Speaking of Hawke, like someone mentioned, my money's on Nicholas Boulton. I would say I'm 90% certain. I could easily imagine him saying "so young, so...vulnerable."That said, it was ridiculously loud (and like an idiot I chose the machine closest to the presentation room so it was that much worse). Everyone else's voice was much less distinctive, but still nice. If it weren't so loud I might have been able to make guesses. But even with headphones I had to strain to hear.

I thought I'd post this here.
I fiddled around with the video I made of Peter Bramhill's dialogue as Cailan and I adjusted the pitch the tiniest bit to make him sound deeper (as the VA was - evidently - asked to do). With quite interesting results, I might add. The first bit is shifted down once and the second is shifted down twice. The third is shifted up again to sound just a bit deeper than the original.
Yeah, that's how I feel, too. I'd prefer Bramhill, but I wouldn't completely neglect male Hawke if he was voiced by Boulton. I just think Peter would do a grand job, is all.Saibh wrote...
Hmm...definitely sounds more appropriate, now. Older, more kingly. Cailan's voice was perfect, but with a deeper resonance, I wouldn't mind him as Hawke. Vaughn always had a fair amount of poncey snob in his voice.
In any case, I don't mind if it's either, I just would prefer Vaughn's.
Who else did Bramhill do?
