Oh man...if it's Jowan's voice actor that seals the deal, no DA 2 for me, ever!

I'm guessing Jowan, given that he said the character wasn't that well liked. They also used Jowan as the 'voice' for one of the choices for a male warden last time.

I'd rather it be Cailan though but then his voice doesn't really match Hawke's default appearance. It does however match someone like Greagoir but then that limits the roleplaying aspect if you would like to be a younger character.

But yes, I'm hoping Cailan. He did humor/niceness well and I think angry is a lot easier to pull off.

Tim Curry is too old for Hawke anyways.

The voice actor for Vaughn and Cailan I wouldn't mind though.

I would say Wade or Herren (voices exaggerated, must be), but they've gotten quite popular I think.

I wish I could understand why so many dislike Jowan's voice. I find his voice quite pleasant to listen to, actually. It's like silk. Sexy and smooth silk. Mmm. ... Where was I again? Oh, right. I will openly admit that there are a few characters Askew has voiced in DA:O that sound a bit whiny, but this isn't the case with all of them. For example, have a listen to one of the refugees in Lothering. He was standing next to another guy a bit behind that angry farmer, I think. He doesn't have many lines but the ones he does have most certainly do not sound whiny and annoying, not in the least.
 
To my main point: Felix de Grosbois is a guy you meet before heading to Honnleath to retrieve Shale. He's voiced by Greg Ellis who also voices Cullen and Anders, among others. Quite a lot of people couldn't stand listening to Felix, yet you don't read too many complaints on Cullen's or Anders' voice, hm? Many VAs have a variety of ranges, so just because one character sounds whiny or what have you doesn't mean all of the characters they voice will sound this way.
 
Regardless of my opinion, whoever voices m!Hawke, be it Askew, Boulton, Templeman or someone else, I have faith that he will do a wonderful job.

i can't believe they still haven't announced it... i mean by now people at PAX or gamescom (was the comic con demo voiced yet?) have ALL played it and it doesn't take that much of an ear to hear who that was...

I honestly don't understand the dislike for voice actors BECAUSE of their voiced characters.

A professional voice actor surely knows when to sound less annoying and I am sure Bioware chose one who does Hawke splendidly.
