Blum.

I believe we had past confirmation that the VA is British, correct?

I would hate that--no offense, but I can pick his voice out in a crowd, any time. It's hard for me to accept he's his own character, and not "Steve Blum as that two-timing dwarf!" Eventually I accepted Oghren, though.

@Calla S - oh sorry! I wasn't ignoring your earlier post or anything, I just didn't know the name of the actor. I actually quite like him, but can't imagine him being a bit of bastard or really badass, hmm...

@Marquiseondore - sorry, I'm no good with names! Just out of interest, did you like the voice acting? Did it suit Hawke?

lol, who is Templeton? :P

The rat in Charlotte's Web?

Simon Templeman, who voiced Loghain.  Who is actually a popular character with a segment of the fandom, I doubt that's whom he's talking about.

An edit was done, but people kept referring to him as Templeton.

If you're able to go through all of Cailan's lines, there are a few that sound badass to downright murderous. Peter has amazing range, and that was only with limited dialogue (... all things considered). He was also in Risen, which I haven't played but have been looking at for quite some time.

I did like the voice acting; it suits Hawke.  I must admit I was expecting (going by appearances) for him to sound older or have a much deeper voice.  So I was pleasantly surprised.

Strange thing is the same guy did Gorim and Oghren.. very versatile voice there.

Yeah. That was my point.

"Eventually I accepted". Meaning it was hard for me to get over for a long time.

Again, they sound very similar to me.

Yeah, I wouldn't have known Gorim was the same voice as Oghren had I not seen it mentioned before.

Vaughan?
Hawke doesn't get a "jerk" option he gets a "malicious laugh" option.
But I guess Cailan could be one as well. Although I don't see how he was so unpopular. His voice was... glorious!

Cailan's voice doesn't match Hawke's beard, but that'd be cool. I hope to God it's not Jowan's VA. I could never pick the Suave voice because all I could hear in my head was his whining. I am sad that after backstabbing him in the Mage Origin, when he's upset at me for doing so, there was no, "I told you not to do it you dumb ******!" line.

Simon, however, sounds too old unless he can pull off a younger voice. I doubt it's him.

Really?

I wish you hadn't said that. Now I'm going to go play Ostagar again just so i can listen to all his lines and critically analyse each of them ten times over :) Did it with Flemeth when i found out that she was in DA2, I'm going to do it to Cailan!

Glorious!

Well Bioware is thinking about selling Cailan "Nope" T-shirts so I guess the fandom didn't like him as much compare to the Alistair's "Hope" T-Shirt.

Didn't someone who demo'ed it say that the VA sounded like Cailan's?

*thinks of all the power gamers slobbering over how BAMF Hawke looks*

*chortles a little*

His lines with the Human Noble and the City Elf are my favorites. Hearing him say he wants to tear down the walls of the Alienage makes me go all

I'm just saying Blum due to how much everybody hated Oghren. Now imagine Hawke with Oghren's voice.

I bet on Nicholas Boulton (Vaughan VA)

From IMDB - Born in 1968 in Gibraltar, educated in Dublin (Ireland) and Sherborne (England)

The profile should fit with the requested accent for Hawke

Harrowmont isn't English! Didn't sound English to me, at least.
