Was Harrowmont popular?
I think Robin Sachs is a bit too old to voice Hawke. If it wasn't Jowan, then my second guess would be whoever voiced Ser Jory (can't really think of anyone else now).

Disliked Origins folks: [list][*]Loghain/Simon Templeman? (probably not as Loghain is surely too distinctive)[*]Arl Howe/Tim Curry (unlikely, he has a very distinctive voice and all)[*]Gregoir/Brian George (Well most folks certainly aren't huge fans of the Templars, but Greg wasn't that unpopular surely?)[*]Jowan/Desmond Askew (I thought he was quite likable, and surely too soft spoken with his natural voice)[*]Kolgrim/Douglas Weston (As much as he looked like Leonidis I doubt he was that popular)[*]Behlen/Wally Wingert (He certainly wasn't very likable...) [*]Cailan/Peter Bramhill (for Calla! Although I'm not sure he was unpopular was he?)[*]Cammen!/Jeff Haslem (I actually wouldn't be surprised, he was annoying enough and Jeff has voiced several Bioware characters before)[*]Leske+Dwynn/Brian Bloom (He has recently done voice work on other games such as Mafia II and Dwynn at least wasn't that popular)[*]!!! Vaughan (yes that one)/Nicholas Boulton: (he is British so fits with their mostly British casting, and can you think of a more unpopular character?! My personal prediction, and I can see I'm not alone heh)[*]Cullen/Greg Ellis (Unlikely seeing as he was also Anders)[*]Oskias+Alarith/Gideon Emery (not unpopular enough...)[*]Trian Aeducan/Zach Hanks (He is also doing voice work for TOR)[*]Niall/Liam O'Brien (just throwing him out there)[*]Ser Jory/Mark Healy (I've seen people state their dislike of him before)[*]
Making this list I'm beginning to realise how many unlikable people were in DAO... Another issue is that DG could be cheating, some voice actors voiced multiple characters so this actor could have voiced one who was unpopular but was better known for voicing one who -was- popular lol.

Blum.
I believe we had past confirmation that the VA is British, correct?
I would hate that--no offense, but I can pick his voice out in a crowd, any time. It's hard for me to accept he's his own character, and not "Steve Blum as that two-timing dwarf!" Eventually I accepted Oghren, though.
With all due respect, I've heard too much of this voice actor. Let's look for some fresh meat, eh?
Jowan as the voice? Eh .. too whiney really.
Maybe Daveth? He had a nice voice.
Or Ser what's his face from teh Cousland origin .. the red haired one?

Unpopular male character from Origins huh, who did the voice of Jowan?
**** you buddy, I loved Jowan. And his VA was going to get a companion roll but it got cut.

Well David Gaider made a point of saying his character was unpopular, don't think Ser Gilmore was very unpopular, and neither was Daveth as far as I know.

Think about it: a younger, whiter version of Duncan, with the voice of Maric's son makes a very happy headache ♥
It still needs confirmation, though. It'd make sense, Cailan wasn't exactly very popular.

I know of a lot of people who disliked him. Intensely, actually. He's one of those characters you either love or hate with every fiber of your being, I've noticed. I'm not getting my hopes up, of course (LIE), but.. I think it'd be a great choice. :3Apollo Starflare wrote...
Re-posting this here from the Hawke thread. List time! (Edit: Unlike the list above this is just people I thought could be considered unpopular)

I bet on Nicholas Boulton (Vaughan VA)
From IMDB - Born in 1968 in Gibraltar, educated in Dublin (Ireland) and Sherborne (England)
The profile should fit with the requested accent for Hawke

My thoughts exactly, otherwise I would've mentioned Cammen first (his VA is american afaik)

Another thing however is that "not popular" doesn't have to been unlikable. It could just be a character that never really got the amount of buzz Gaider thought he would or one that just kind of got overlooked in there.
But almost every character in DA:O, unless unliked, had a fanbase. Teagan for example.

They did say they wanted mostly British people where appropriate didn't they? Further fuel for the Nicholas Boulton fire.

I wouldn't mind either, he seemed alright to me. Important note: Peter Bramhill is British! (Apologies if this was already brought up!) So he fits the bill as well. There is hope Calla!

Desmond Askew seems likely- not many people liked Jowan, and he's birttish.

Hmmm, if only someone would bottle Hawke in the demo so we could find out for sure.Apollo Starflare wrote...

Fergus did say he was going to see a sword upclose soon enough. It's just unfortunate that his sword of truthiness didn't defend him.

I think Hawke is going to be a more gruff voice. People like Jowan or Cailin seemed too "soft" for me. The default Hawke that we've seen seems like kind of a badass. I just don't picture some of those weaker voices fitting well.
