But I still think Peter Bramhill would be great beyond all reason.

It always amuses me how people automatically think Peter Bramhill is only capable of some pansy voice because of the few Cailan lines you listened to before you started skipping over them. Go take a listen to his voice when Cousland tells him about his/her family's murder. His voice acting is incredibly versatile.Steingrimur Steingrimsson wrote...
Wait!? But he's got the beard! He cannot have Cailans voice or something that sounds like it, the beard demands a deep, dark and manly voice!
Dear God, I'm starting to sound like every other fangirl. This hurts me.
I do not skip lines and as-a-matter-of-fact I myself played through that segment not long ago with a human noble. But I must admit that I was not listening for any potential 'manly', since I did not know he was a potential Hawke VO, but as I recall it, his voice was just more serious and less light-hearted. The fact of the matter is, that Peter Bramhill has a lightish voice, his voice acting talent cannot escape that fact, while I had hoped for a darker, deeper voice, to fit with the black beard.

Remember they said it is a character that wasn't very popular and A LOT of people have complained about Ogrhen especially when they found out he was the returning companion in awakenings, i like him though
If they said (male) Hawke's VA was from UK then Blum is definetly not him, I didn't hate Oghren either though (well, I liked him in Origins, but not in Awakening).

But Hawke is customizable. Hearing a delicate, beardless (I know, I know, blasphemy) Hawke going "hurr grr arrg Hawke smash" would be seriously jarring. A manly-looking person can have a not-so-manly voice, while the other way around is much less common (based on my personal experience). That's why someone like Bramhill would be great.

That problem can be solved by locking the beard in the customization section.

Bramhil would be great but what people seem to be missing is that he said it was an UN popular character, so look at just the unpopular characters.

Also, I remember reading somewhere that BioWare brought Hawke's VA back into the studio to attempt to get his voice a little deeper in the beginning. No doubt the VA gradually got into character the longer he was recording, making the voice a bit different as it went along. I'm still crossing my fingers for Peter Bramhill.
No one's missing out on that. The fact that he's said to be an unpopular character is the reason I believe he might have meant Cailan. Very few people actually like Cailan. Most see him as some air-headed, glory-seeking ponce who walked right into a trap.HighlandBerserkr wrote...

Not sure if you're being serious, but there are a fair number of people that really dislike facial hair and would not want to be forced into a beard.

I liked Cailen
Anyone know how to make your portrait what you want it to be, other than the options they give you?

I think Cailan and Vaughn/Bryant are really good guesses. I'd be happy with either of them really.
Either would be awesome.
If it's Ser Bryant / Vaughn I would die ... happy. <3
If it's Jowan I will cut someone!

Gimme Nolan North =)
Blergh, I'm burnt out on Nolan North. Personally, I'd like Douglas Weston (the voice of Kolgrim). His voice was suitably imposing sounding to me.
