Yes, it does make a difference. When you first got to see the male Hawke and the armor that that he was wearing, that you would be able to wear in game too, didn't that thrill you a little bit?

The female armor will obviously be different because the female shape is different. We want a little of "seeing our armor for the first time" thrill, too.

Why are some people so hostile and "catastrophic" about seeing femHawke's appearance? It's almost like you are threatened that she might beat ManHawke's beard.



PS : females for me will ALWAYS be better than bearded dudes. Perhaps because I am a straight male

Due to the fact that the trailer is showing Garret Hawke and that he represents the canon storyline (finally! thanks Bioware for creating a real character we can identify with, and lose the mute) I doubt they will ever show us how (un)sexy the female version will look like. I have a feeling she'll look like Jane Shepard and I soooo hope that's not the case.

Mass Effect was before EA. And you'd hardly know femShep exists if you weren't told ahead of time you can choose your gender.

If i buy the game I'm more inclined to make a Hawkette for the fist playthrough simply because she has no default look..if i went male i would constantly compare his looks to the default one.

Depends largely on your definition of "hot"...

Actually, I play mages so I wanna see robes.   But fair enough.  I don't disagree with wanting to see female character examples (as I usually play female characters).  I thought people were expecting an "iconic" female Hawke like Garret Hawke, who seems to be the face of the game.  Marketing-wise, it makes sense to me to focus on one image to avoid confusion and maintain consistency, but I'm all for some occasional images/footage of a female character so we can see some armor/models/animation in action.

EDIT: Also, I hope 'hot' isn't the same as trampy...BioWare has more respect than that, I'm sure, but girls need to be wary of that word when applied to female protagonists...

Indeed. Hotness does, in fact, depend on your definition of hot. And by -my- definition of hot, FemHawke is capable of melting butter from across the room.
