Why has this thread turned into a quest to change the default name of the character?  One out of every hundred thousand Hawkette's will use the default anyways.

Instead, we should be presenting a united call for FemHawke pics on 9/8... six months before the game comes out.  It's a landmark!  You know they have some sort of milestone planned for that day.  If we all rabble rabble together, we can get six FemHawke shorts for the six month pre-anniversary.

I think this is a great idea, not just because I had it, but because it gives marketing time to get everything approved.

Yeah, to be fair to namedforthemoon there have been some serious trolling attempts of fem!hawke threads in the past, with at least one I know of getting completely derailed and locked. I'd hardly call it idiotic, even if it is a bit blunt. It's not like we don't welcome other opinions in the thread, just some of the mindless complaining seen on the forums is hardly constructive.

Yeah, when there was a guy in the last thread claiming that women don't count as REAL PEOPLE, it's obvious that direct language is needed.  If you are offended by someone asking for on topic, intelligent conversation, I have to question your motives for speaking up at all.

If i create a thread to criticise a part of the game i expect all people to voice there views even if they are against me.
 
If i ask people who agree with me to post only that for me is idiotic and should not be allowed.
 
If the person who created the thread is not strong enough to defend her views then she has no business creating a thread in the first place.
 
For me any thread that tells people who disagree with the op not to post should be locked automatically.

I'm not a moron, I know it's not happening, what's done is done. It's not like they are going to go back and re-make the trailer. They didn't think it was worth the budget to do it for DAO either, but that doesn't mean that I am not going to voice my opinion. How else will Bioware and EA know that there is a demographic that wants to see female protagonists and furthermore, will, in fact buy good games with a female hero.

This false PR myth that female protagonists can't sell games or movies has to end. There is a social responsibility that lies herein.
