Apparently "Ethan" is of Hebrew origin. That said, I can't blame someone for thinking they look and sound similar.

I was told that they said it in the movie "Eh-tayn", like how it's spelled, but it lookes like "ay-teen" to me. Like...eighteen, I guess.
I read here there was a number of ways to pronounce it, however. The Etain I know of was a sun goddess in Ireland, famous for the Wooing of Etain. I never heard anything about a Hebrew version...hmm...

I'd like to see DA2 bring an end to the 'default' wars seen in the ME franchise! ("but Sheploo just sounds better", "but Jennifer Hale is a goddess!" etc.) But yeah the only way I know to make a gif bigger is to upload it twice into a gif creator. Calla made the one above though, so as someone said she is the one to ask!
