[Apollo Starflare]

I thought the name might give it away, plus I looked like a male Dwarf for a couple of days there. I vastly prefer playing female heroes though, and all my 'favourite' DA characters are female, so I tend to have a female avatar as a result.

The Starflare sounds like something I would have called myself when I was younger, right after "Unicorn".

I took the title to be talking about the character, not the gender of the person playing her.  I say anyone who is playing a female mage Hawke would be welcome, not just female gamers.

Well, I'll probably say something like "A group for those who plan to play as a female mage in Dragon Age 2" in the description, so hopefully people don't get too confused. Time for me to get to it!

Yes, of course. As long as you are making a female mage character it doesn't matter what your real life gender is.
I'm afraid I can't have it include male apostate mages as well, otherwise what would be the point of the title?

@Apollo: I'm guilty of thinking you were a lady, too. I usually just go by a person's icon's gender to guess the gender of the poster. It usually never works but eh.
