I'm gonna choose to take that as a compliment. :o

It definately is. I think your concept of LadyHawke, though simple is outstanding. I didn't like the other concepts of LadyHawke with long hair because personally i prefer shorter hair like that and feel that a warrior shouldn't have ridiculous long hair.

I'm very biased towards short hair. I've always had short hair myself, plus I wanted her to look as much like Garrett as possible while still being an attractive woman. I could have gone shorter but I like the Motoko Kusanagi (from Ghost in the Shell) type of hairstyle.

Motoko's hairstyle is nice. I have a bit of bias re: short hair on women myself, particularly ones where it seems long hair would get in the way of whatever it is they're doing (like, y'know, fighting monsters). 'Tis why my canon warden (CEF Rogue) has probably the shortest DAO hair design without being a buzz cut.

You did a good job making her and Garrett look similar. Garretts probably thinking he should play as Fem!Hawke.

The hair length is a measurement of badassness, The longer = the more badass.

Tis why my characters get the longest hairstyle available, unless this one is crappy.

I gave my Warden the bob with bangs before I modded my game. I hope they give us more cute short styles.

Garrett just wants to stare at a female ass if he's gonna have to stare at an ass!

The only hairstyle I really liked was Leliana's, but then I didn't want Leliana's hair. I want my hair to be unique.

Heh, I love the hair your Warden is wearing. I actually was the one who requested it from tmp because I love having short hair on my characters and the default shortest hairstyle only has that Shianni style as an alternate. Middle part, no fringe and then add weird, long ponytails all over? Nooo.

I want short hair for my LadyHawke that doesn't look like that of a 10 year old boy. Hopefully we won't have to wait until modders get their hands on the game for it. My first LadyHawke will be a very practical warrior woman, no time for hair maintenance *chops*

This reasoning amazes me. If you don´t have time to do your hair I´d just let it grow.... (which is what I do in RL too, btw).

A warrior can have long hair. But tied up ^^ That's why in the first games i chose the bun, then when i modded the game i had another, shorter one (just because the longer ones was anti-wind). But i do like buns/ponytails on warriors =]

See, this works in real life, but (assuming for argument purposes the settign is in some sense 'real' and obeys certain laws) if you're taking a setting like DA where the main character spends most of his/her daya nd night fighting legions of monsters/bandits/animals/etcetera, you don't really want something like long hair which is potentially going to get in your eyes or get caught in things and impede a, for example, tactical retreat. The last thing you want when you're dodging is for some hurlock to grab your hair. Or have it caught in a thicket when you're creeping through woods. This is particularly a concern with the amount of blood flying about in DA, since blood-matted long hair is probably not very pleasant.

Then I have you to thank, yuki! You have my sinccerest thanks! When I played, I actually had her start the game with a more elaborate, longer style (wedding day!), and RP'd her cuting it shorter on the way to Ostagar. I like making small cosmetic changes to my wardens as I go through the game.

Sorry for Off-topic, but how can you do this?

With the toolset. Basically I create a facemorph and set it to my Warden in the Origin, then periodically modify it as I go through the game. It gets pretty difficult to directly add face-morphs to later save games due to their size, but if you already have them set to read a particular morph (any save-games made after inputting the morph will also use it), overwriting that morph will change the face. Thus you can, for example, add scars or tatoos or change the hairstyle. Or just make them look completely different if you get sick of the face.

Damn was hoping there was a way for people without toolset:crying::crying:

Thank you anyways.

Hmmm, never did for me. I guess that must be luck of the draw.

@Tirigon: Why don't you have the toolset? I noticed you have the PC version, does it just not work for you?

And just in case of off-topicness: SHOW US LADY HAWKE!!

Hey guys, this is a very nice thread. Very pretty and interesting Lady Hawkes have been submited, excellent skills everyone, i'm amazed, we have a very talented and dedicated community, it's nice to see.
I look forward to seeing Lady Hawke just like everyone, it seems Bioware is willing to show her to the fans in the near future which is awesome news indeed, can't wait.

Until that time comes, however, lets appreciate all the awesome interpretations of Lady Hawke, here is my very humble contribution, i'm not a very good artist so forgive me xD
I kinda dig the braid look on Lady Hawke, but that's probably influenced by the recent Ponytail fever that ran across the boards :P
