In my view she wasn't ugly, but she wasn't attractive. I guess average is a fair term. But when the first trailer came out, there was a 40+ page thread railing against her appearance and then some moderator came down on it.

I'd prefer flirty over stoic. Bishop had his merits, and his faults would have been more tolerable if his romance was completed instead of left hanging. I'd prefer a less evil LI. Certainly less man-whorish. Flirty, but maybe not Zevran-levels.

I too prefer flirty over stoic, but I wouldn't put Bishop anywhere close to the sphere of what I prefer (I've discussed him elsewhere). 

I did think Alistair had a good amount of flirtyness in him, for example.

Well, maybe we couldn't romance him in Awakenings because they were saving that for another time.

Honestly, I hope not. I want a new romance, not an old character that some people might still have grudges against for having his dad's nose, or just already not have liked. You'll have preconceptions coming in about his character, and I want a new man for my new story.

I definitely would love to meet Nathaniel (and I do consider him "romance material") but I could understand the reasons why he wouldn't/shouldn't be a companion or a love interest in DA2.  I generally favor using entirely new characters, myself (I didn't entirely enjoy the way Oghren came back in Awakening, either).

First of all, just be freaking patient, they confirmed you can chose your gender. Isn't it more exciting for you to see it in the game rather than prior to release?

Second, learn from Mass Effect. There isn't going to be any female hawke marketing happening, I can assure you of that. So don't bother, just be patient, and wait a bit.

Don't bother expecting a Lady Hawke, but wait for it anyway?  That's not contradictory at all!

Indeed--not to mention that "not looking like a supermodel" doesn't mean "not beautiful."

Anora so much as I went through most of the game not realizing her hair you could put on your chars. So I thought like Morrigan she had her own hairstyle.

The pirate woman could look completely different in the game. The Morrigan in the blur trailer had a strong jaw too and I think she didn't look very similar to her ingame model. To me ingame Morrigan was MUCH prettier that her trailer version.



So it really doesn't matter much what we think of her looks in the trailer until we see a DA2 screenshot of her.

I think Sacred Ashes Leliana was hot! Morrigan was hot cause Claudia Black is f'n smokin'! Anora, aka my Queen for my human noble...thats right I killed Alistair to become King choke on that! Is still up there compared to any other female in the game under Morrigan.

I thought Anora was one of the more attractive girls in the game. I would rate her equal to Morrigan actually. I thought the Dalish Keeper Lanaya was cute as well. Vanilla Leliana doesn't look bad, but her skin is weird with the lighting to me anyways.
