But I
have seen people at the gym with really big breasts (and not
necessarily a hulking body to match, although they were athletic
obviously). Maybe it's a hindrance or whatever, but somehow they seem to
manage.

People who go to the gym are often trying to build
up a certain muscle or trying to sculpt their body this way or that.
It's not the same thing as having to carry a 40 pound pack and walking
from Orzammar to redcliffe over the course of a single night.

I think we need a little bit of willing suspension of disbelief, otherwise you could say the models in Origins were built inadequately to make such treks as well.

Actually no. You don't need to be very built or super strong to pull it off. But someone with breast that size is going to have a hell of a time trying to keep up with someone like Alistair who no doubt had to do such things regularly during his Templar training. The back pain and cramps would be unbearable.

I have to give this thread's denizen's credit; I never thought a discussion on the internet about boobs could remain so serious for so long.

Not a doctor, but A- at higher level biology.  Maybe I lost marks on understanding of breasts.  Do lots of exercise. Interested in good food.  Researched.

Milk and cheese not supplements.  Good old fashioned food.  Around for millenia.  If Bethany has good diet and keeps active, not reason why she can't have good figure and ample breasts.  Exaggerated slightly for game, but it's a game. Artist/animator might not be up to scratch.

What, you're Mordin now?  In any case, I personally don't take what people claim to have or not have IRL short of gender and location unless they can prove it. I'm not insulting you, but there are those people who don't want to type correctly and claim English isn't their first language and you know they're lying.

Milk and cheese will not create such uneven proportions. A slight increase, perhaps, but her breasts would already be that big. Most people have lots of dairy in their lives, and they don't walk around looking like that. Like I said, unless you go and feel up every woman with big breasts you come across, there's no way to tell what they actually look like stripped down.

Tennis is a very athletic sport. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/andy.png[/smilie] Maybe they give her problems in everyday life, but they don't make her incapable.

My rationale for Bethany looking that way, of course, only applies to Bethany. I support more muscular looking warriors etc.

Ah, that's not my point, sorry, I didn't make it very clear.

Simona Halek's breasts gave her enough problems that she reduced the size of them.

Posted Image

They didn't benefit her and only caused her problems. This is a woman who doesn't go running in dragonbone armor or wield two-handed swords.

I'm not saying that you must adhere to the absolute fabric of reality, but why can't they be more reasonable? Did you dislike the figures in Mass Effect? Was the size too small in DAO? I don't think you'd object to a smaller-sized breasts model, would you? It would make us happier, and you would be content with it. Win all around.

The male equivalent of what has so far been show for female bust size would approximately be this;

Posted Image

While entirely achievable for some people, it would just be silly if every male in the Dragon Age 2 world were at this level of musculature. And it would be insulting men's intelligence.

And seeing veins like that on everyone would be scarier than french kissing a Broodmother.

Yeah and it just as retarded. I ****ing hate Gears of War because of it and I only let God of War off the hook because it fits so perfectly with the character (and he's hideous otherwise)

But (and this is just my entirely meaningless opinion) with guys playin the hulk seems to be more about living out a fantasy which is why so many don't seem to mind. 'Look how badass and strong I am!'

With women playing the giant boobed bimbo is just annoying.

Well they also had pencil thin arms, yet we were supposed to accept them wielding a 50 pound maul and hitting like Ser Cauthrien. Not to mention not getting completely obliterated by a single swipe of a dragon's claw (it's bigger than your whole body)... etc.

I'm not that worried about breasts in the game though, but I do worry a bit about female bums.

In DAO all the females could surf the waves with their bums, so I hope DA2 will have real female bums this time.

And to give my point more charm, you should check this out:

Well for me all the men are far too fat and tall and I don't think they can or will fix it and I just don't care about the big boobs and last of all it is not real life;).

Oh and 300 sucks.

Right. You don't care about the male models. Why would they change it if no one cares? If it doesn't bother you, they've done nothing wrong. Here is something that bothers people and we want changed.

Would you like for the ugly mage hats to stay in the game, even though you don't like them (I assume that because everyone doesn't like them)? And those are things that you can choose not to wear. We must be forced to put up with ridiculous bigger-then-Pam-Anderson boobs.

Corsets generally worn under clothing despite modernised garbage like Van Helsing and Jonah Hex.  You wouldn't be able to tell if she was packing or not.

Yes, I would. Corsets change the shape of the body, and it's very easy to tell when one is wearing one or not. Her waist might be constricted (and you must have missed the part where her mother is clearly wearing normal clothes), but her breasts would look far different. I know this is going to sound weird, but if you...well...a girl was wearing a corset, her breasts wouldn't "hang", and maintain that curved shape as they do. They would get a smoother, streamlined appearance. They'd be supported from beneath, and wouldn't have weight.

Again, check out the pictures of Megan Fox and Kate Beckinsale. They are wearing corsets and their breasts don't seem all that bigger. Push-up bras can do that, give you the illusion of bigger cup sizes, but only because of padding. Corsets wouldn't do that, because of their shape and the way they work. It doesn't add that much to her figure unless she already has it. These are things I said before.

Check out the films of Sammo Hung.  Very overweight. Manboobs.  Can kick the living snot out of anyone (except Bruce Lee).  Bethany's breasts are ample, perhaps normal.  Not at the size that is a concern or a determental to living life and slaughtering darkspawn.  She isn't exactly 34F.

They are not normal. I'm going to guess that you yourself don't have a pair? Because they are gigantic. I have insider knowledge on that part, and I know, they are gigantic.

Proof that only transvestites have big boobs. If anybody finds that thing *i cant say female* attractive then i resign my manlyhood.

Oh, I thought we were still talking about forced marches.

Yeah a petite elf tank didn't make much sense and the entire dragon sequence could get really stupid. Why I always had two or three mages with me (if I didn't have Wynne, I picked Leliana as my archer) and Shale (Sten or Alistair if she isn't around.) A little more believable.

Again, we don't want to be forced to deal with bazooka boobs the entire game. This has to do with Lady Hawke. This thread is in support of her, and what we'd like to see from her. Please, understand.

Really? I must be missing something, because the female bum never really stood out to me. In fact --and granted this is based on an estimation on the enigma that is the female mind-- the Christmas Hams on the male characters seemed to be shaped in a more noticable manner.

I guess I just don't see it as a problem that needs fixing, per se. Of course you're all free to feel otherwise.

Now, I think that's a little unecessary. There's a difference between being too lazy pay attention to one's typing and a typo.
