Were you the one who was originally advocating her? Because I commend you sir--I like how she looks--tough, but still pretty. Wild, but still feminine. Morrigan really never looked "wild" to me--I loved her look, and thought it fit her well, but she always had a refined elegance to her, rather than a wild one.
This woman:
Looks like a leader and a warrior and a woman. I know we're not going to see her in there, but her general look, the attitude I see with it, is what I'd like to see in Marian.
(And, so I don't image spam, more are in the hyperlinks.)
No that wasn't me, but I agree with you. And I think it's funny having that guy in normal streetclothes in the same picture. Like will we get Waterproof Outdoor Jacket as an armor in DA2?

Unless you mod her appearance Morrigan wears patch-work of a dress made from random scraps of leather, "makeup" from some berries smeared across her eyes and as garish collection of various jewelry as she can obtain from the warden in addition to her already sizable collection. She has natural good looks, but is on totally opposite end from 'refined elegance'Saibh wrote...

There's another thread along the exact same lines called 'Dear Bioware'
... Is there a mod who can merge the two? People are basically having the same disussion in two different place!
The other thread degraded into a "guy gamers are more important than female gamers" thing, so I created this thread. I'd rather not have them merged, as this thread is going quite well.
Oops, my bad. I didn't realize the change was done on purpose!

Why not? Trailer Hawke uses a streak of red lipstick across his face.

real female warriors probably look like the East German swimming team from the 1960s... but really who wants a female Hawke to have an Adam's apple and sound like the male Hawke?

I am not saying that DA is like this at all. I was elated that they had both male and female wallpapers up for the DAO races. I'm just sharing what drives people to make threads like this because we just want to share in the excitement and have a kickass wallpaper or screenshot on our desktop of the female ideal we'll be playing. That's all.

The movie is just ok. I did like the battle scenes and Etain (girl in the pics) but felt that her character was horribly underused. Still I did enjoy seeing what I watched the movie for. Her.namedforthemoon wrote...

Oh yes, I like her a lot. Now I want to see the movie.

I wasn't sure how to word it, but I don't mean "refined" a la Anora or Isolde. I simply mean she keeps her hair sleek and glossy, her make-up is fairly immaculate (if obviously there), her "ragged strips" are arranged very artfully with her raven feathers, her jangly necklace looks like it came out of a jewelers...
I liked her description in the Codex--she had a "critical eye" for beauty. It's clear to me she cares a lot, and it's not the "rag-tag" beauty she wants to exude. Not bad, of course--most women want to look beautiful without trying; their fashion sense great without being obvious. You know. "Oh, this old thing? I just threw it on", when previously you spent three hours in the bathroom.
Of course, Etain's beauty (just found out the wild-woman's name) is done to precisely look wild and beautiful and fierce, but I think they do a good job attaining just that.

No, not Joan. Searched imdb for both titles, found the character in a shot from A dungeon siege tale.
Thanks, though.

Stop posting pictures of Etain damnit! The more I see her, the more I want to create Hawke who looks like her. Oh god, I hope we'll be able to.
Sorry, she's just so beautiful and Hawke-like, for me. She's got Bethany's dark ringlets and Garret's animal pelt... I'll try to stop posting her.
