This is a good point. And there's a good chance the screenshot of Bethany we've seen is from Varric's exaggerated version.

She might have her own character model, which would make plenty of sense.

The templar's wife didn't appear to have D-cups either. And I know we can't judge her from the blur trailer, but Hawke's pirate girl also had a modest bust size.

The screenshots in question seems to be from the not exxagerated version, considering Hawke's bland armor.

Back on the discussion of Lady Hawke's intimates; the concept art of the new race designs --I like to call it "Anora's Secret"-- had some interesting designs in the underwear department.



Granted, the elven lass' leather neglige looks a tad uncomfortable, I like the human female's underwear. Granted; it's still the strapless pushup bra, but I think it "pushes up" less than the ones in Origins. Of course, should the bazooka boobs --Man, that's so fun to say-- are final; we're pretty much doomed no matter what path they take with female underwear.

I've said this a few times, but, guys, do you honestly dislike characters for having average-sized breasts? You might think a character is hotter when she has bigger boobs, but do you dislike her for being average? Or not gargantuan? I doubt it. You guys appreciate boobs. That's what I was raised to believe.

But, on the reverse side, I see girls comment a lot on how pleased they were with the respectable treatment of females in DAO. And now, looking at Bethany's model, we're really hoping that it changes, or that's not the norm.

It's just a matter of making everyone happy, or making some men slightly happier and getting on the bad side of a lot of women.

I can only speak for myself, but I actually prefer smaller breasts. I just really don't see the desire some/most guys seem to have for women with huge breasts, not only do more realistic proportions look more attractive to me but it makes much more sense in a game such as DA what with the heroine being involved in all sorts of activities that require her to be as flexible and agile etc. as possible. Not to say that you couldn't have a female protagonist with large breasts, we all come in all shapes and sizes afterall, but unfortunately DA doesn't come with a body shape/size manipulator and as such it would make more sense to me to go for realistic proportions.

But I gather this is an argument that has been had numerous times recently, I just thought I'd throw my 50p in there. >.>

I thought she did. Her body was curved and leaning down, so it's hard to tell, but I thought she did. I haven't seen her in motion. The mom had the same character model, too.

I agree. If we could customize, I wouldn't mind (I'd also prefer for Bethany's character model to be sparse, for realism's sake) at all. But we've heard word, several weeks ago, that it would be too difficult on the engine BioWare is running to allow for that kind of customization.

Actually, the "inside look" thread pretty much tells us that it isn't. The second Flemeth shows up, the normal version starts.
