Has anyone considered the possibility that when they said they'd let you see what the default female appearance looked like they might just mean releasing a DA2 character creator for people to make pre-release characters with like they did with Origins?

I didn't really think about that. That, of course, would be amazing, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think it's not very likely that they'll be releasing a character creator for pre-release characters due to the fact that there just aren't very many options in compairison. Creating your character from the ground up was a big focus in Origins. Howver, since we have since been reset to the normal amount of character customization, I think the focus has shifted.

If there's a pre-release demo at all, it will most likely be something like the ME2 demo.

Would be a fun surprise.

Back on the discussion of Lady Hawke's intimates; the concept art of the new race designs --I like to call it "Anora's Secret"-- had some interesting designs in the underwear department.

Image IPB

Granted, the elven lass' leather neglige looks a tad uncomfortable, I like the human female's underwear. Granted; it's still the strapless pushup bra, but I think it "pushes up" less than the ones in Origins. Of course, should the bazooka boobs --Man, that's so fun to say-- are final; we're pretty much doomed no matter what path they take with female underwear.

Could not put my finger on it earlier, does the dwarf female look like a cheap elderly prostitute to you? especially when the picture is small (enlarged, not so obvious). I think its her proportions, her chest makes her belly look short, which in turn make her breats look droopy :wizard: the slightly droopy eye and eye shadow just adds to the wh*re look. On top or rather bottom of it all, she is wearing sandals ipaired all that makeup and short skirt. Right? old cheap street walker!

Would you consider this to be an acceptable look for Lady Hawke's armor?

It has that conformity that caters to the male audience, but it still looks like... y'know; armor.

Just how does it "cater to the male audience"?

No to that half naked anime girl and no to a Lady Hawke with the same body proportions as that woman (Bethany?).

Sharn01 and whoever made that model need to go outside and look at humans.  She's got too many bones in her neck and not enough in her ribcage.  I know this is so BW can give her an unnaturally tiny waist in order to
emphasise her huge rack (conveniently on display, of course) but that neck/waist combo (and the removal of several ribs) can't possibly keep that rack and head upright for very long.

I hope this is not what was meant by the appeasement to the fanboys that Lady Hawke would be "hot".  She needs to be able to walk first, I think.  Say NO to the Leaning Tower of Pisa Lady Hawke :(  Nothing wrong with good-looking characters but you could at least quit the stupid T&A recipe for the females. Or make it slightly less obvious.

Unless you're going to appease those of us who like nice man-shoulders with magical invisible armour. Then I will forgive that yucky anatomy.

Also just an FYI that an "hourglass" is not top heavy.  I have an hourglass on my desk.  It's balanced.

I did not feel the need to point out the proportions since there was already about 30 pages dedicated to it, I wanted to see if anyone else felt the neck was weird.

It's conforming, accentuating the curves and shape of the figure. This appeals to the general male audience, in my experience. If you were to compare a female character in huge plate armor that takes away the ability to descern gender, and this kind of armor, I think you would find the response be overwhelmingly for the latter.

Meaning it caters to men over it catering to women. Armor made for women wouldn't be forged to form over breasts like that. Hilde was designed for men who were bored with the way most Soulcalibur women look--her attractiveness is supposed to lie in being in full armor.

Okay, priority; there needs to be a part in Dragon Age 2 when Lady Hawke and Bethany do the "Sister" skit from White Christmas.

"Lord help the mister, who comes between me and my sister!
And Lord help the sister, who comes between me and my man!"

You know, I'm really excited to play an apostate mage this time around. I always feel a bit disappointed that your choice on being a mage is being from the Tower and loving it and agreeing with Wynne, and therefore netting disapproval from Morrigan, or hating the Tower and wishing death upon them all and agreeing with Morrigan, and therefore netting disapproval from Wynne.

This issue, and the issue with the Chantry, I felt like I could take no middle ground. It'll be nice to be an apostate.

That's not necessarily true. Set of armour being expensive like heck, these were generally made to fit the wearer. It wouldn't exactly make much sense to forge armour which didn't fit the wearer's figure, and make it less comfortable that it could be otherwise just because random men would get to look at it. For the owner of the armour any potential onlookers are secondary concern, if a concern at all.

You can see example of such work here: http://www.volny.cz/...roj/z0008_e.htm

I am also eager to see our Lady. Its not right that we have to wait. I wonder what the ratio of female DAO players there really are? Does BW realize we play this as much as guys if not more. They need to keep up on this.Get with the times.

I'm eager to be an apostate mage for the very opposite reason. Before regardless of your feelings for the circle and Chantry you didn't do much to the status quo. Now it looks like we could actually change the way both organisations function within the Free Marshes.
