Quoted for truth. The whole "Rawr, I like killing, thinking isn't for me," thing got old quickly. At least Steve Blum made it sound good.

I feel like so many of these things don't have a reason to be cut, other than that...

Why was this necessary to cut? Disc space?

I doubt it. I'm willing to bet they're on the X360 discs as well. The audio files are actually quite small on average (I'd say maybe 15-20 KiB would be the mean), so it's likely just leftover stuff from earlier "drafts".

That's what the volume control is for.

Don't think it's space issue (otherwise, well, those files wouldn't be there)...FlyinElk212 wrote...

:/ Well then what's the deal with this? I can only surmise it was cut because it was viewed as "out of Grunt's character" to question Shepard. But if you ask me, it makes SO much more sense that Grunt would get offended that you take the decision out of his hands (as he says it, he believes Shepard sees him as too weak to make his own choices).
Whatever the case, this isn't the first unused audio that I've heard that didn't seem to have a viable reason to cut. Would've been a nice touch to an overall flat character.

Really I would have been more satisfied with ME2 if this stuff was in there. I mean I wouldn't care if it would give me more than 2 disks, Myst never game anyone a problem with it's 6+ disks why should ME2?

Do Mark Meer's voice files exist as well?
Yes. I just decided from the start to use Femshep (personal preference), and deleted all the Maleshep files. It was already gonna take ages to go through this stuff, and constantly skipping over things I'd just heard would have gotten old fast. Also, it's Femshep who sometimes gets gender-specific dialogue (one of the responses after letting Garrus shoot Harkin, for instance), so if some existed that wasn't in the game, I was going to have to listen to her stuff anyway to find it. The exception was the romances, as obviously there's a lot of dialogue that only one of the Shep VAs recorded in each case.

On that note, I heard that there were some deleted 'Mordin talks' (think they were DudeShep and Garrus and FemShep with Tali and Miranda) do these exist or have my bromance dreams been denied?
Yeah, but it's not the advice from Mordin that's different. There are just some extra responses. For FemShep, there's Jack,Tali, and Miranda. For MShep, there is indeed one for Garrus. It's just a joke line, though, so no: no epic Brokeback Turian action. Sorry.

BTW if you get bored you should do them with MaleShep's voice, FemShep's voice just doesn't sound right to me.

I'm asking if he can tell me where to find them so I can hear them for myself.

Any chance you could tell us exactly where to find all of these files so people that don't hate Mark Meer's voice can hear his version of them?
Like which packages to extract from?
