Therefore, my country of registration doesn't match the registration for my account. No, I started the account in Denmark. What a crime! What does that even have to do with me being able to make a valid payment or not?
But wait, it gets worse. Being a Dane, I have Danish letters in my name (double gasp!). Furthermore, I have two craaazy extra letters in my postal code here.
My credit card cannot be verified. Not by Bioware, not by Paypal. Sad thing is I have no idea why. Is it because it doesn't want me to write the two extra characters in the postal code we use here in the Netherlands? Is it because it wants me to substitute something for the Danish letters (and if so, WHAT, there are several ways)? No clue. Maybe I'm being rejected because I've tried too many times. Given the number of combinations, it's likely I'll be flagged for fraud before finding the right one. Yeah, I'm a real dishonest guy.
Notes like these in a sticky offer no solutions:
Are you not allowed to buy anything from another country then?2) If your Billing country, your EA account, and the country your IP resolves to mis-match, your transaction can fail. ESPECIALLY COMMON IN EUROPEAN CUSTOMERS, or those customers using non-traditional ISP services.
Sorry about the rant. I really just hope you improve the payment system. And yes, my VISA card *is* valid and there's money on my account.
For those in trouble like me, try the EA store. Worked right away with no hassle. Don't remember who posted that here but thanks!
