Hello, whenever I try to download what few mods there are available for this game right now it says cannot find DACONTENT UPDATER. Is this normal? Do I have to download this content updater from somewhere? and if so, from where? Thanks for your help.

The Dragon Age Origins Content updater is a Windows service that helps manage DLC. It should be installed when Dragon Age is installed. To see if its available and running:

1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER

2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.

3.) Right click it and select START

However. If you are trying to install mods, what you likely actually want is just the DAUpdater application (yes, I know, its confusing). daupdater.exe is found in the Dragon Age Installation directory, under bin_ship. If you just try and open a .dazip file it will try and find this open this app and often fail. What you want to do is go and find daupdater.exe and open it on its own. Then you can open the mods you have downloaded from inside the application to install them.

Thanks Kepha, opening that uploader allowed my mods to self-install upon download.

Ok... my location for DAUpdater is different than the one specified in the Services tab. How do I change this?

Edit: I moved Dragon Age to my C drive and everything is now authorized. I wish there was a way to move it to my F drive where there is more space without having this type of problem.

Sigh... I've been trying to get the DAUpdaterSvc running for the past two days. Finally ran some dotnetfx.exe, which only changed the type of error I'm getting. The bloody thing won't run, so I am "unauthorized" for everything except Awakening. I've tried all the steps in Redemption's thread... So annoyed with EA right now.
