Beyond the cosmetic 'extra hairstyles' the mods I'm really interested in are the ones with good stories and, maybe more importantly, good characters.
What kind of mods would you like for Dragon age?

Looks like animation-mod can be appreciated.

I usually like 2 employ original content in my modules. Very rarely do I add end-user mods, just in case.

Jumping is kind of useless in an actual RPG.
So true. Dungeons and Dragons, World of Darkness, Exalted, WEG Star Trek, Star Wars, GURPS, Rifts -- all those games with mechanics for jumping? Not actual RPGs.

Hidden areas that have been forgotten long ago that has a story behind it tied to a campaign of sorts.
Maybe more ideas as once I get playing that I see should be added like additional props.

QFT. Real RPGs have outdated graphics, too.
I agree about the Dark Brotherhood and Thieve's Guild quests in Oblivion. I loved those--they were better than the main campaign imo.
There's a couple changes I'd like see done to the talent trees. Maybe I'll just mod it myself, depending on the technical challenge. Specifically, the archery tree is not in line with my vision of properly designed talents.

First and foremost I'd like a mod that hides helmets and headwear when they are equipped. I want the bonuses without looking silly. Same thing with auras/buffs and effects on your characters. I want a nice 'clean' look for my party. No uggly helmets, fiery effects or glows.
At some point I'd also love something similar to Shadowkeeper for Baldur's Gate 2. A save-game editor where you can change almost everything about your characters fairly quickly.

Mod?
I want a turn based mod. That would be great!

Some of you in this thread are quick to jump to snark as a means of self-defense, I see. If you insist we be snarky I will suggest that you both are in need of help with reading-comprehension.
I did not say that all RPGs with jumping mechanics are not true RPGs: I did say that in a traditional RPG jumping mechanics are essentially of little use. Unless there are skills that are related to jumping, what in the hell are you going to need to jump for?
I would argue that a ****ty jump mechanic where your character does a little hopping animation would actually take away from the immersion rather than add to it, as the user would feel compelled to be jumping like a mad man. Perhaps if there were sets of skills such as climbing/jumping/etc. that you could level up; HOWEVER, this set of misc. skills not being in the game renders a 'jump' animation useless.

*cough* I want epic stories, the likes of which have not been seen since the days of Homer.
Unfortunately, stories like I speak of haven't been seen since the days of Homer, so I don't hold much hope.

I plan to concentrate on combat mods, first. Of course, I haven't seen the impact of the OC's skill tree on melee, but I'm sure the combat mechanic still has you squaring off with one (or more) opponents in a contest to see who can deplete hitpoints the quickest. I feel that most humanoid creatures should be susceptible to a single killing blow, or arrow, and that wounds should impact performance. Watching NPC's, or PC's, who have lost 90% of their hitpoints fight with no impact to their performance is a downer.

Better bodies and no underwear for both male and female bodies.
More options for hair, eyes, tattoos, make-up, etc. There is no choice for jet black hair, or hair anywhere near as long as mine IRL, and my husband really wants more tattoo options (and better colors).
More weapons, armor, and clothing.
Unlock same sex romance for all romance options. Can't go more in detail with this without spoiler violations.
Other cosmetic/fluff options (better animations, higher res textures, etc).
Quests of all kinds, as long as they are well done.

I'd definitely LOVE the hasardeur feature from BG2's mages. I played through the whole series with my hasardeur and it was so much fun not knowing which spell will happen next. Besides, it brings a whole new strategic aspect to the battles.
Unfortunately I expect that there won't be enough spells and spell animations to recreate the feature -- BG2 has 100 random events that could occur when the feature is used.

Well,
Not that I find it necessary, but I (like others) would like to see a more revealing nudity mod. (preferably for romance cut scenes only) I don't think that's too perverted. I'm just not very fond of the granny panties shown so far. I wonder if such mods will even be allowed through the EA social site.
Also, I would really like to see some simple quest packs. Anything ranging from fanfiction to monty python-esque adventures. I would especially love to see scenes from the holy grail put into DA.
I'm hoping to dive into the toolset asap, if you want a job done right...

Some of the things people have asked for are unrealistic (like co-op), others are interesting, but likely to take a VRRY long time to develop, but in between there are ideas that I really hope someone will pick up and implement.

I would love to see some mods that take place in the Forgotten Realms or Dragonlance universes, though it would be alot of work.
I would also like to see more classes, I know this isn't NWN or BG but I'm slightly dissapointed at the lack of classes available, for me it's important to get down into those small character details that say BG2's class variety offered.

Oh, I think summoning spells are also missing. I always liked to play conjurors so that would be a welcome addition

Personally I prefer mods that add to the main campaign/game, rather than those built in an entirely different setting. Bonus points if they are added in a way that doesn't mess up the original storyline and is compatible with any other mod as a result.
