For a few months now I have not been able to connect to any server on the GameSpy lists in nwn2 and I'm suspecting not all servers are being shown in the listings. The error is:

'attempting to find server.
*waits*
Connection error:
Server is not responding: (timed out).'

So, it's pretty ambiguous.

The Ping column shows nothing at all. It did used to. Same problem when in nwn1, except the servers work there (except I swear there's only a small fraction of the servers online listed in the gamespy).

Some facts:
*Within this time I have updated Norton Security to Norton 360. The problem was before this.
*I regularly change between using a proxy for my university and not (for home). I make sure to turn this off when I'm home.
*I tried installing nwn2 on another computer(w7 instead of xp like this one) and still get the same problem.
*I use a router. (But it used to work fine!)
*Sometimes, on rare occasions, I am able to log into certain nwn2 servers once, but then it does not work afterwards.
*I turn off the firewalls and it makes no difference.

I tried bypassing the router but it still has the same problem.

Can you successfully do a Direct Connect via the IP address of the server(s) in question?

Hmm... if you can't even connect via a Direct Connect, your NWN2 traffic (outgoing) must be getting blocked.
I see you're using a router... firewall or not, there must be a few ports that need to be opened up on it.
If you bypass the router and go straight from modem to computer, and you still can't connect, unfortunately I am not a big enough techie to know how to advise you at that point.
I'd suggest finding the IRC NWN2 chatroom information here and going on there to ask for help... I know for a fact there will be multiple people who will have suggestions for you (may have to wait a little bit for a reply).

Ok, on second looks it looks like my router is also the modem, so it's impossible to bypass. I agree with you DM that a few ports need to be opened that were (supposedly) opened before. I'll try and do this.

Edit: I have done the port forwarding as per portforward.com for my router. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to fix the problem (I'm pretty sure they were already open anyway, seeing as they worked before).

Also I can't find any IRC here. Posted Image
