I don't really care about models or replicas, but it would be nice to have some behind-the-scenes documentaries that actually were documentaries and not just endless repetions of marketing one-liners like the ME2 "bonus content" was.

Yeah, the CE of Mass Effect 2 was kind of disappointing. The Making Of videos show absolutely nothing, it's just a bunch of interviews from what I recall. Didn't even take a second look at it.



I want to actually see the team working on content, whether they're displaying the work on environments, dialogue, matinee editor, etc... I want to see them actually utilizing the UED. Would like to see their setup and how they work with it.

After shelling out the extra 10 bucks for the collectors edition of ME2 there is no way in H-E-double hokey sticks I will do anything other than buy the standard version off the shelf the week of release.

I would be very happy with a big, heavy art book and poster. Those are things I'll actually look at and appreciate. Not nik-naks. The soundtrack thrown in would be a nice touch, although I realize I could get it elsewhere. I don't really care too much how it's packaged, but if they could avoid a scowling Sheploo, I'd appreciate it.

heck, I waitied until I beat the game to watch the DVD because I was afraid of spoilers and thats what I get? roughly 55 minutes of content and some wallpapers?

I beat the game months ago and I still haven't watched the DVD. I was waiting until I played it again with a male Shepherd this time, so that I'd really feel I'd seen all of the content before watching the DVD. I'm glad I've read this thread because by all accounts the DVD sounds like a piece of crap, and I'm glad my expectations are lowered now.

I was disappointed with the small format of the art book too. The packaging was pretty cool though.

I only looked at a couple of pages of the art book and put it down untill I beat ME2 to look inside.

And for My ideal collectors edition I want a good amount of exclusive dlc. A single weapon and armor aren't much.

1. I would like to see DLC offers only through CE so i don't have ti buy from 2 different retailers to get all the armors.. to learn later on the second becomes DLC for everyone (I'm talking to you inferno armor!)

3. Amazingly epic behind the scenes DVD with interviews from the cast and crew from every game, it would give a very large scale look at the epicness of ME

Exactly.. (and thanks for posting) .. i can't belive that they didn't include those videos in the CE. Heck, have you played God of War 3? They even got those Machinema videos on the disk.. Those are so much better then that commercial crap they had on the actuall bonus disk.

I really hope that they make a proper making of for the last game.. (hopefully one that actually talks about all 3 games and is around 1~2 hours long.. if not even longer.. xD )

Anotehr thing that I would have liked to see on the bonus disc were those character trailers.. I mean the ones where they got those pre-rendered characters talking and then cut to gameplay.. I like those a lot..

A model of the SR2 (Preferably of high quality. An airsoft gun using the battle rifle or geth assault rifle from Mass Effect 2. A full sized Shepard helmet (wearable) and artbook and a behind the scenes dvd. This would make the special edition very large and expensive but it would be awesome.
